********** The all new "Official" iPhone 4S thread - Keep all the iPhone 4S stuff in here **********

Let me think back over the years I've had an iPhone and see if I can remember any situations where I've been frustrated by things I couldn't do on it because of it being locked down.

I'm struggling.

Nope, can't think of one. I've always been able to do what I wanted.

Back at you - Argue away....

Flash to stream love film. But that's beens solved in two ways, love film streaming app and I've canceled my subscription.

Flash is now dying and Microsoft has put the final nail in it's coffin. All main stream stuff will be html5 and most of it already is.

The only one thing that does frustrate me is not been able to watch BBC videos on there website. Their APP tends to miss out a lot of the videos I would be interested in. BU tI suppose that is offset by the amount of crap flash adverts I "miss" out on :p

Then this part of the forum isn't for you.

Go ^^^^^ That'a way.

It's a debate....yes it's in the Apple section but still a debate...I'm out of here anyway, fed up of arguing about it. I still stand with easyrider...dull phone, dull release, will sell like hotcakes. I'm not buying, plenty will. I've put my points forward, some have argued back well. I enjoy the debates, can see both sides....shall we agree to disagree boys and girls? We could go around in circles for ever.

Some people will disagree, and some will agree. That's how it rolls.

/THE END

you're to much of a fanboy to argue with, heck u deleted 2 threads so you could be the first to post the 4s!

They will but they will know simple stuff like whether it does 1080p video etc

That's not simple stuff! Knowing what the 'p' in 1080p stands for - let alone what it means - puts you in a small minority of the population. I think most people have less technical knowledge/interest than you think.

bit small minded really, as a lot of states are bigger than the UK, let alone the rest of the world and now the media are trolls too...

so anyone who raised objections are trolls?

you know when Vista came out i said it was rubbish, then Windows7 came out and i spouted out how great it is. I'm neither a troll or a fanboy. i have my views.

If apple had jazzed up the phone with a facelift i would have been less critical. its just cheap from them, they know the iclones will be outside the store a week early

What did i say thats small minded? i admitted that the size of the US could be a cause because its obviously more difficult to get the kind of comprehensive coverage we un the UK enjoy.

No, not everyone who raised objections are trolls, but the fact is it was completely blown out of all proportion. The Internet would have you believe its completely un-usable everywhere except stood directly under a network antenna, but thats completely normal for the Internet these days, every things OTT awesome or OTT terrible, there's no middle ground anymore.

Did you miss this?

No, I've already commented on that , I'm not supprised they don't and I don't blame Apple, however given the amount of profit they make it would be nice if they put some of it into ensuring their latest products had the latest hardware, afterall these are ment to be premium products.

It's the users I blame

Bet they don't.

"Does your phone do 1080p?"

"Errrrrm, it says it does haitch dee." (a small piece of me dies inside)

"Is that 720p or 1080p?"

*blank look*

"haitch dee"

Again, blokey bloke in the street neither knows nor cares about the difference between 720p and 1080p. He can't even pronounce 'aitch'.

These fall into badge wearers

No they don't, in fact thinking about my non techy mates who have iPhones, they all fall into the group of people who were given the option of an iPhone at upgrade time and went for it. Most have 3GSs, one has an iPhone 4 and nobody uses them to the fullest. None of them have bothered to update to the latest OS their devices support and I know that none of them bother to even connect them to iTunes for backups every now and again. They're decent average blokes, certainly not fanboys or badge wearers.

Man in the street doesn't give a flying toss.

He wants a device that works and can play Angry Birds.

I think people do forget that probably all of the macheads on this forum were die hard PC fanboys before that's the reason they are on the forum.
