I'm probably the most frequent poster in the entire Mobile Phone forum, and I own loads of Android phones (and will be getting the Nexus Prime). Your point?

Let me think back over the years I've had an iPhone and see if I can remember any situations where I've been frustrated by things I couldn't do on it because of it being locked down.

Hmmm not got an Apple Mac so the only Apple hardware is an iPod. iTunes sucks, the iPod is ok. I don't get that seamless integration you crave. How's bluetooth on your phone, do you still need an app to do it? I'm not arguing I really don't know. I'm just against the feeling I could be limited. I could always throw in the flash thing, but I guess that's a cheap shot...
I can see how you like being handheld through things, but I quite enjoy the tinkering etc. perhaps that's where we differ? I also like how I can take a memory card out of my device and transfer the contents easily somewhere else...

For your info, I deleted two threads that had been posted (and locked by a different mod) before the new device had even been officially announced. You should see the number of RTMs that had been received about those two threads.

Everything you've said says your completely not in the target market Apple operates in. Congrats for being different, it doesn't make you right or everyone else wrong in their beliefs though.

iTunes is amazing and at least I can get films and tv and can play them on a co outer as well. What does android have? They've left it individuals, like samsung and that can only be played on a tiny amount of samsung products. What good is that for purchased media.
It's a massive downside for android and is my biggest complaint. Is no iTunes/zune equivalent.

No, I've already commented on that , I'm not supprised they don't and I don't blame Apple, however given the amount of profit they make it would be nice if they put some of it into ensuring their latest products had the latest hardware, afterall these are ment to be premium products.

A premium product is just something which sells for a high price in its market. Those £50,000 Vertu phones are the ultimate premium products, even though they're inferior in terms of capability to a £30 featurephone. There's no requirement for a premium product to have the best tech specs. If you can persuade customers to buy something without putting more expensive parts in it, then why not?

Like all its competitors, Apple cares about making money. Nothing else. It only cares that its users are happy to the extent that it helps it make more money!
