Agreed, plus widgets or live app icons would give you some of the features they demonstrated Siri for anyway. It's like Xbox Kinect, nice gimmick with voice control but most people will just use buttons because it is quicker (for some stuff they demonstrated imo).

I think they did the right thing calling it the 4S, given that it was retaining the same external design. The next model will presumably be the 5 with a different design, followed by a 5S, 6, 6S etc. New exterior every other release, new internals every release.

I dunno about you but if i had a phone for a year i would'nt want to buy another phone that looked exactly the same purely because i'd want something new to look at..

Why does look have anything to do with it, it's a rectangle with a screen.

As I said phone hardware is more than fast enough these days, not to upgrade every 12months. Also as said everything which people wanted in the ip5 is in the ip4s. Apart from a larger screen that's the only difference.
 
I just don't get some of the replies in this thread at all.

"Oh no, its just a spec bumped IP4! Thats it, I'm off to Android!"

What exactly is the difference? what will the SGS II HD offer over the current phone and (maybe) over the 4s?

So you people are going to jump ship (and lose apps you've paid for) to a phone, which is basically only improved over the current gen phones because of a bloody spec bump, because the new iPhone only offers a spec bump?

Shesh people. Seriously.
