Not really, and if they do then it's only half hearted - It's a bit of a running theme that iPhones aren't actually considered to be phones at all and as such are exempt from mobile discussion, hence their residence in the Apple hardware threads. My sensibility finds this annoying but in all fairness I think the segregation has prevented a great deal of pointless argument and thread locking like what goes on in the Console threads with the PS3 vs XBOX360 arguments.

Generally it tends to be a "Do I want 'X' Android phone or an iPhone" at which point they're questioned about functionality and what they want which is subsequently followed by them answering their own question and heading this way.

Been waiting outside Tesco for 3 days now... They said they'd txt me when my iPhone4S was ready. Still waiting. Any idea how long I'll be here? Sick of the rotisserie chicken already..... Not sure it's really worth the clubcard points....

Yes there is vpn settings, but no settings for a proxy server on a vpn connection. What big enterprise doesn't use a proxy based firewall i know its useless for our needs without.

Grrr. Still haven't had my shipping confirmation. Status still shows as 'preparing shipment'. Called Apple and they've advised that it should go out today or tomorrow but to be honest they didnt seem to really know.

Ah you make a good point - it's possible to do it in several ways - one is using the adb shell commands and the other is by using proxy apps but they all require a rooted phone. I can see your frustration.
