Not locked here mate.. Guess something else is capping it for you.
Hmm, wonder what that could be. I have Vsync and Triple Buffering off. What else is there?

However, you can use Crossfire right now. Using QuadFire in these screenshots below at 4K. This is on 14.12 Omega.
4K
Unless I'm missing something the game seems to be locked at 60 fps? I removed Vsync but i could not lift the fps cap. Forgive me I've spent no time playing this title at all.
EDIT
Tommy mentioned that Ubisoft broke MSAA in a recent patch, so i used SMAA which worked fine as far as i could tell.
You enabled msi afterburner frame limiter? Or you running the new amd drivers haaa
Hint hint.
Okay thanks, I'll check them out.
Yes, that SMAA bug shown in that video is the one I was referring to when I mentioned visual artifacts earlier.
From other forum threads, I learned it only appears when crossfire is enabled, so it's either No AA (which looks awful) or MSAA (which is massive performance hit).
I'll see how it goes with shankly's suggestions.
Well, if the freesync screens are indeed out next week, we will HAVE to get the drivers next week.
And if things have been held up for that, I will be a little miffed.
Really would like crossfire in Elite so I can enable supersampling and get rid of jaggies.
Good point. Have you tried reproducing the SMAA issue with Crossfire disabled?
Whats good for Advanced Warfare, because that is utter #### with crossfire enabled
Only tried multi so far.
Crossfire enabled results in first half a minute or so of lag and stutter. Like 2 FPS, and random mouse lag in menus.
Disabled is running (not wonderfully) better.
The last CoD is: better than before for sure, good ideas but a technical mess as always... developer fault
even the intro lag wasn't fixed, they don't test their games properly... they do a console port and... nevermind... until you don't buy at day one anymore
I think that even DX12 won't be a panacea for this kind of people... a lot of inaccuracies that they leave abandoned to themselves
No problem. Personally, yes, I want new drivers but I'm not getting upset about it!
Just a bit of fun
hi AMDmatt
Im having problems with my new MSI Gaming 8gb 290x's in crossfire,
on Msi afterburner i can't control both fan speeds, the second gpu always remains on 20% fan speed and my top gpu reaches 89 degrees
in tomb raider crossfire wont work the second gpu remains on 300mhz
Far cry 4, similar problem but i dont think this game has a cf profile yet?
Also both gpu's have elpida memory, will this hinder anything?
We had a profile ready for launch, but unfortunately we've been unable to enable it due to issues with the game. Below is taken from the release notes of 14.1.2.
"The AMD CrossFire™ profile for Far Cry 4 is currently disabled in this driver while AMD works with Ubisoft to investigate an issue where AMD CrossFire™ configurations are not performing as intended. An update is expected on this issue in the near future through an updated game patch or an AMD driver posting."
Since this there have been multiple updates to the game and we're now at a stage where we can enable it in our next driver.
did u like it?
i not played it in a while now, i do plan on going back to it tho!
i got so many to catch up on now

Only just started so I'll let you know.
I've just discovered the Dying Light manager which allows you to tweak settings so I'm currently playing with that and trying to turn off all the horrid image blurring that this game suffers from. Hurts my eyes!
I love Dead Island though, so I'll expect I'll like this.
Ah yeah and that horrendous chromatic aberration and film grain. I'll have to give those profiles a go next week if the new beta isn't out already, because no xfire was actually ruining the game for me. Drops to 40fps on a single 290 were regular at 1440p
I tried what you told me to but that didnt work, i just opened my case up and noticed the fans on the second gpu arent even spinning, im going to take it out to check if theirs a wire that came off somewhere
or is this a software problem
yeh it could have done with a ton of more ingame options that actually did something lol i liked a lot of how far i played yeh
the side missions i didnt find totally boring and the crafting system better than farcry4 for sure! i played it mostly co-op so didnt get long into the story yet
there's been atleast 1 update since i tried it last so wondering if it plays any better
been getting into HOTS a bit more so my free time has gone there
that sorted that problem -) i can control my fans now, if i have upls enabled will my customer fan profile kick in during gaming?
Tomb raider wont allow me to run exclusive full screen as it says problem initiating dx11 in current system config, however i had that before so its not gpu related
Crysis 3 ran flawlessly though (i can max it out on 1440p with 8x msaa and still get playable frames) and im going to test your fc4 profile out soon
Thanks for your assistance
Is that UHD?
What sort of VRAM usage are you getting? Is this another game for the 8GB cards at UHD/4K?
Think i need to invest in a 4k monitor
Which one do you all use and are they any good?
I want to buy Dying Light but won't until i hear it runs well on AMD, all i here its preety bad on these cards
Hi Matt MSI 290x at 1080p but i hear a lot of people having bad framerates on AMD cards if you look at steam reviews etc
