The Apprentice 2018 (Series 14) - 3rd October

It's like they've gone out of there way this season to find the worst possible people, would anyone actually want to go into business with any of the people this year, probably not.

Jackie needs to go sooner rather than later, starting to irritate me!

She's very quick with advice and ideas, then even quicker to step away when it all goes wrong.

Her going to the newly opened restaurant in Shoreditch, which turns out to have been there 10 years was priceless :D

curious to find the betting odds (on Mr Sugar too ?) I did not realise this

...
In the event that The Apprentice filmed multiple outcomes (something they have done in previous years to keep the winner a secret), people will still know the top 2 or 3 contestants and may choose to bet on them all to guarantee a win.
....
really ?

Spray tans? At an expo? Give me strength :o

Can’t wait for broken shoulder man to get the boot. So annoying.

Agree on both accounts.

I still find it strange that some thought spray tans was a better option than photography!

As for the 'I'm a natural salesman' who thought he was hard done by by being moved with one hour left to sell... Hadn't sold a thing all day, but was going to nail it in the last hour :rolleyes:

Maybe off topic - But I thought the BBC coverage of the bake-off winner, was an exercise in virtue signalling they were concentrating on the ethnic origins of the winner; I had not seen them even mention gbbo up until now ...

I am wondering how much these diversity needs may influence Apprentice results, with editing you can influence the viewers opinion as you wish ?

Both of those shoes were disasters. I mean all those women still left and not one of them designed something they would like to wear.

Goodness knows how the team with the pink shoe, complete with bow, got the sales that they did...!

Kurran not getting fired was beyond understanding.

It does make me wonder if their business idea is taken into consideration, and not just their task performance, when they are up for firing.

I can see the appeal to the graffiti shoe as a high end or designer shoe but that pink shoe for teens

This task made me question if the sales numbers were ever genuine because it seems like madness for that pink thing to have won.

Also, they didn’t show Curran standing up when they got called in to the boardroom. I am disappoint.

I don't now remember which team were advised by Clarks, but by all accounts they are not any kind of doyen/reference in the shoe industry any more,
their books do not look good, boss recently fired, ... shoes not up to the quality they used to be. - recent shoes thread
Clarks business advice/orders can thus be wrong - but maybe Mr sugar had investments with them. ?

You've ever thought the numbers are real?! When they make less than the minimum wage, ignore the costs of the setup, etc, and end up making an embarrassingly small amount of money then I can can believe the takings figures are real... but it's always been fairly obvious the big sales to retailers etc have always been made up, no?!
Well, yes but perhaps I should explain my point a bit better.

All of what you say is true, I’ve never disputed that but I always assumed that if group A made 10x 100 sales that they’d report that in the board room. Without seeing every minute of the episode it certainly felt like the designer shoe group were smashing the trainer group.

My point is that have they taken it a step further and begun making up the sales numbers to fix the show? I know it doesn’t seem beyond the realms of possibility but air also doesn’t seem necessary if they simply totted up each teams orders and decided the winner on that.

It all seemed a bit too unbelievable. More than normal anyway :p
