I would have given them £15 for it to be called the "G|mp" stadium.

Inviting teams over pre season for the "G|mp" cup.

Fantastic.

I think one of them is up for renegotiation soon. Should get it bumped up to closer to £20m for which ever one it is. Maybe they will knock a couple of quid off every ticket for every game. Make it a bit more affordable.

We have also signed another Barcelona teenager :D Jon Toral. He is half english half spanish. Hopefully another Wilshire/Fabregas in the making.

Also Ramsey will be recalled at the weekend and expects to play some part in the FA Cup Replay. We can see how good he really is now.

I doubt it! If anything, they'll probably try and put in a few more club level rows in the stadium! :D

One of the blogs linked to a fantastic article the other day.

Essentially they call our taking their youth players as unethical and due only to legal wizardry, yet said nothing about the constant tapping up, speaking to the press, the 'Cesc DNA' crap and other tactics they always employ when they like a player of ours.

It also moaned about how a lot of their signings from us have performed less than brilliant. Serves them right in all honesty. If they can't get the best out of them then they shouldn't have courted their name for years, shouldn't have offered so much for them and damn well shouldn't complain about it afterwards. Overmars didn't do as well as expected apparently (even though he played the same no. of games for both clubs?), Petite and Hleb turned out to be flops, Henry would never go through the same form again (their doctors' fault for not realising this?) etc. etc.

But it did say they've lost around E90m to us over the years. :D

Just such a pity that our injuries are once more mounting up. It's starting to look like like Denilson/Diaby or even both will have to play against them in the Nou Camp. :(

it really is pretty daft to compare the situations, fact is Barca DID make an offer for Cesc, and Henry, and Hleb. Legal wizardry is a bit overstating it, its just not legal to sign a professional contract before a certain age, meaning any player can be poached.

Barca are in a bad place, great players, great youth setup, but a solid team which half the team has a decade left to play, for a young player especially in midfield, the future is fairly bleak, their own success and massive quality make a player see better chances elsewhere, Cesc, now the new kid.

But make no mistake, we'd have gone utterly mental if they signed Wilshire by grabbing him before he signed a professional contract.

The simple fact is, if/when Cesc goes, we'll be compensated, we were compensated for other players going. Kids are essentially "with" their clubs but not signed too their clubs, meaning people can steal them, if kids were allowed to sign contracts at 12 or 13, you'd simply never have this issue.

We're also giving kids this age in this situation a LOT of power to negotiate silly wages for a young kid as they can start a bidding war essentially.

Personally I do think its incredibly bad to nick a kid, if Wilshire had gone to Barca for 150k, I'd have gone mental, one day before they can sign a professional contract, get 150k compensation, signed that contral, get 10mil, its a bit of a joke and everyones vunerable.

HAHA Rooney!?

But it's

Messi
Xavi
Iniesta
Ronaldo

Then 6 more including the likes of Villa, Fabregas, Vidic etc. Either that or 10 Spanish players to make it simple
