***THE BF4 BENCHMARKS THREAD***

installed this earlier.

fx6300 @ 4.1 (before recent overclock) - ( havnt tested on new clock yet )
7850 @ stock (overclocking later )

auto put it on 1024x768, with settings set to high. was playable.
i change it to 1280x720, left settings, was ok, fraps was moving up and down from 40 to 70.

up settings to ultra, just about playable.

put it on 1080 with everything on high. no chance ?
put it back to 720.. FPS just wouldnt move above 35...
put everything on LOW and back to 1024x768 and the FPS was hitting 25 max..

so i just quit lol

spent the last hour overclocking cpu and im going todo gpu next.

if it still dosnt manage to play 720 at least with good fps.. well.. i dont know what im going todo lol

do i get another 7850 ?, or do i sell mine (4 months old ) and getting a better single card?

was realy ****ed of at how it just destroyed my pc to bits and took the **** when i put everything on low.

i know there will be some tips and settings on what todo and what not todo in this thread.. but its had a lot of posts and trying to find them is near on impossible :p

so whats the latest tips that people have used so far ?
 
Quite a big improvement here so settled on all high with no msaa. Was originally hoping for that and 2*msaa but just not over 60fps enough of the time for me. (1080p)
 
@ 1920 x 1200 on Ultra with V-Sync on using fraps I get the following:

Ignore me, I think it was just a poor server. Played on a french server and taught them some lessons and all felt good. Sorry Dice, my bad :)

Why not just wait until the game has been officially released? Your basing your upgrade, which is not even required, on a BETA game which is not completed, not optimised, older than the current version they are working on and still 4 weeks from launch. They have already mentioned that they have work to do on it and are aware of bugs.

Do you really think that is a wise move?

I knifed him but had fraps take 10 second pics. I think he was afk, as I was Rambo style on 4 of them and he just stayed in the same place, so I didn't miss the opportunity to give him a knife in the throat :D

While the game is fun ala Rambo, it would be much better playing with fellow forum members.

hmmm i wonder if thats the reason mine just wouldnt budge from 25fps ealier.. on LOW. :mad:

anyone recomment a good server?, there is loads to choose from.. ¬_¬
 
Seems a bit smoother with new patch, dont need the custom cfg file i was using before now. Tho it seems my auto settings are now high not ultra which is a bit of a downer. But hey a lot less fps spiking going on when moving now and smoother experience so cant complain for todays patch. Not perfect but an improvement.
