Yes i had to do that as well. Annoying i still can't rebind certain keys. It won't let me use delete for reload as an example. :mad:
 
Have a few machines to try this on ..... can play BF3 on these but BF4 is taking its toll!

AMD 955 with Radeon 6870 @ 1280x1024 - playable

AMD 1055t with 6950 @ 1080p - well playable

AMD 640 with Nvidia GTX 460 768mb - forget it!

Intel i7 920 @ 4.2GHz with 7990/7970 @ 1600p - well playable on all ultra settings but GPUs down to 50% in places and CPU up to 95% in places :D ... will wait an see what the full release brings before upgrading CPU/Mobo but fps range from 30s to 150+ but never too slow so as to overly bother me ... yet.
 
They made a new config file under my docs->Battlefield 4 beta the old settings are still in my docs->Battlefield 4 I just copied mine over and hoped for the best as I can't be bothered with going into an empty server and tweaking it all again then editing the file in a text editor to bind the keys properly that can't be bound ingame.

Ok they put a new folder in My Documents with a name change.. i took out the PROFSAVE_profile file from the old folder and replaced the new one in the new folder thats been created.. seems to work so far .. happy again :) for now.

Will i get delete working as reload if i do this? Cos as it stands it doesn't detect delete when i press it.

I dunno but now if i got into settings>video.. it freezes/crashes. Not happy again :(

If Dice are gona do this on every update then i wont bother buying the game.
 
lol just checked the Geforce Experience for my GPU (570) and it recommends

AA off, all LOW,SSAO/HBAO off and all Filtering off ???

yet with all but 3 on Ultra,2xAA, at 1200p I'm getting average of about 50-55fps , 1% of frames @ 30

Yeah delete is keycode 211 - open the PROFSAVE_profile file and find/change the line to:

GstKeyBinding.infantry.ConceptReload.0.button 211

EDIT: If you mean del on the numpad its 83

Thanks Rroff will try it tomorrow. I might have some other keys tomorrow that need rebinding as well. There was at least one more but i forget off hand which one it was.
 
Wow frametimes all over the shop with this patch. Also a lower minimum of 35!

All settings maxed out as usual.

Also GPU usage down to around 80% on all 3 cards from 90-98% in previous game version. Not sure what's going on there lol. Seems I was quick to jump the gun...

VRAM Usage stayed at 1980MB this time round - although it varies from game to game - so not saying it's an indication of tweaks but still.

wow, definite improvement for me. Can now run 4xMSAA Ultra as it is solid 60fps vsynced...I might be sending my 2nd 7950 back lmao....LIKE HELL
 
strange how performance seems so varied between different peoples rigs. Mine is most def an improvement post patch, if I put on 4XMSAA last night I would have fps in the 40s and 50s...tonight I can roll with 4XMSAA and fps high 50s but lots locked at 60 which is awesome.

Noticed a few people saying this. Some that had it running smooth are now having issues. Whereas those who had issues are now running it fine. Typical dice, one step forward two steps back. Yet to try it myself as the patch is only downloading at 6kbps.:(
