***THE BF4 BENCHMARKS THREAD***

Titan really sucks in this game. People with CF 7950 get much more FPS for 60% less money.

Seams apt :D

bit early to bin the titans, if my cards get 45-55 fps, the titans should be nearer 70fps once the driver tweaks are locked in, that means you'll only need 2 to break 120fps @ 120 FOV.

Anyone reckon a second 7950 would be a good idea for this game?

They're SO cheap now and the performance is amazing. I presume I can solve any stuttering issues using Radeon PRO. I'm running an LG 27EA83-D (1440p) with a Core i7 4770k.

Performance on a single 7950 was pretty good on the auto settings. Game looks far more polished than BF3 did, even on non max settings.

I was considering buying Nvidia's high end card next year, but I think I may capitulate and buy another 7950 because I don't think I'll be seeing value like this for a long while now.

For only £162 on todays only deal it will be a great value boost to performance. I certainly would do it. There wont be any single cards this year that will properly best CF 7950's. We will have to wait till 20nm before that happens.

Just had a few rounds.

It needs quite a bit of work on it graphics drivers wise as the frame rate felt very choppy, I don't run FPS monitors so I don't know precise figures.

VRAM wise GPU-Z says that it used 1983MB of VRAM on the auto setting for my 680, but the FPS was almost unplayable.

Latest Betas with the BF4 optimizations or older drivers?

Thanks for the info.

What res? Can you try using the Ultra preset (with x4AA) and report back? :)

Use fraps (http://www.fraps.com/download.php) to monitor fps.

Just benched a round on 1440p highest settings and got.

Frames, Time (ms), Min, Max, Avg
41216, 502031, 60, 126, 82.099

With performance like that I think I might. I'm getting near 60 on AUTO or sitting at 60 on god damned 13.4 which is months old.

Hmm, shame I didn't grab into this in time as would be nice to see how it scales at the moment. Being lazy - if I pre-order now I take it there's no chance I'll get in? (Stupid question more than likely)

1920 x 1080.

Will give it a go with ultra.

Will look into getting fraps, although I rather reluctant as I find I end up caring more about the FPS and not enjoying the game.

What card/s have you got? 13.4 will not have any bf4 optimizations in at all.

7950 on 13.4.

I'll do some exact frame tests later. This is at 1100/1400. I'm running on auto so don't go thinking it's on Ultra, but with the graphics quality it's at I'm pretty happy. I can't see it dipping below 40 at any point.

Stick a second 7950 in there. If you overclock to 1100/1500 or so with 2x7950's you'll never go below 60 at 1080p.

Trisli seems to work fine

The plot thickens...

How are you finding it Scotty? I hate softcore!! :D
