***THE BF4 BENCHMARKS THREAD***

Depends if its one of those trial versions with limits. Sometimes they'll only let you compress a two minute clip or something. :p

VirtualDub is brilliant Tone, the quality after compression is very very good, check out my Skyrim Vid above. You have to remember, YouTube is the program that kills the framerate and the quality, not the program you use for compression.

If you know where to look, VirtualDub is free ;)

If you know where to look, VirtualDub is not trial ;)

Send me a trust message with the details Tony. I'm eager to get started and post the video. :)

Tony im following the video but i dont have the XVID codec. I just downloaded it via google and it came with an installer but it still doesnt appear.

EDIT

Ignore its there now, had to restart.

I wish i had filmed it at 1440p tbh even though the frame rate would have been lower. 1080p looks kinda crappy when you're used to using a higher res.

VirtualDub is a really good program, but the output quality is more to do with the codec than VirtualDub (not saying VirtualDub doesn't play a part).

Depending on the output format required (and input format I guess) I also think Handbrake is very good. There's also a BETA that can use QuickSync to speed up encoding, although I think it'd generally accepted that QuickSync produces worse output.

Sorry, all slightly off topic there...

EDIT: If you install this codec I believe you can get VirtualDub to encode H264 in an AVI wrapper.

@ Matt RadeonPro has recording capabilities with minimum FPS drop, and the quality is just as good as FRAPS :)
