Fair enough. I ticked compress in that thing you said and it seems to playback fine now. File size is still a bit big for my liking but what can you do. Hopefully i can record 10 minutes gameplay or so.

I can record, but with drops into mid 40s that's unplayable, kinda why i play on medium/low.

Ok, i imagine using that compress option will hit your cpu and lower fps though.
 
Got it. 84gigs. :D

Recorded 18 minutes of gameplay. Mainly me in a tank so super strain on the fps along with the fps loss from recording. I seriously kicked some ass though so it should be a good vid for uploading.

So what do i do now? Can i use movie maker to compress it and upload it to youtube?

Its 18 minutes long so will youtube let me upload it?

Use either movie maker or something like sony vegas to compress it before uploading.

Use DXTory Matt and then use VitrualDub to compress the video/audio down hugely without loosing to much quality at all. Lovely pieceof software. Look on Youtube for a tutorial for Virtual Dub 1080p compression and you'll find a few great vids.

Take a peek at this, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=72dGYPz-jHo - this was an 80gb video I shot of my Skyrim and the mods I run with using DXTory, then used VirtualDub and compressed it to around 780MB still in full fat 1080p ;) not a lot of quality lost at all. Its youtube that screws the quality up.
 
Is VirtualDub free Tony? Sounds like it might involve some learning on my part and im lazy. :D

I could just use the Windows 720p preset for movie maker.

Is there any limits on youtube video uploads that i should know about before i do it?

yes Virtual dub is free. it takes a few minute to watch a tutorial, its very straight forward...watch this space I'll send you links

Virtual Dub tutorial http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fo64hgxuu_c don't worry about the Fraps section at the start, use DXtory in its place. You just want to see the settings for the VirtualDub compression and how to start it.

Nope, i've uploaded a 14gb file to YT lol :D

Currently uploading my gameplay using custom ultra with a GTX780. Only on Domination though, because Conquest is soooo boring!!! Had to use the Assault class though, not my trusty Recon...really can't aim whilst recording on full ultra.

compression software doesn't tend to support MWV files. It really needs to be recorded in AVI, then you can compress with virtualbud in 1080p without loosing to much quality

If you have Premiere Matt, use that. H.264 put it on a VBR 2Pass, and choose your desired bitrate. 18-20mbit gives out a decent enough quality, not making the files too large.

I don't im afraid. I'll try Tonys suggestion first as its free and see how that goes.
