***THE BF4 BENCHMARKS THREAD***

BF3 came with the same amount of maps (10) and then 'Back to Karkand' DLC was released just over a month later, giving you 4 old maps from Battlefield 2, transposed to the Frostbite 2.0 engine.

So yeah same amount of maps, and the same month delay for the 1st DLC (China Rising) with 4 more maps.

I redeemed a BF4 code which came with my R9 290x and then bought the premium pack for £32.

Thank you for your input ;) I went for the standard version so many options  remember the day when you bought the game no options then you had free map packs  oh how things change...

are they doing updates/patches to fix all these bugs i hear about ?

im geting mine either today or tomorrow via dvdrom version (i like to see somthing for my money :p )

and im debating weather to leave it untill they have fixed everything ?

Battlefield 4 is unplayable on the PC

The PC version suffers from crashes and freezes, making it practically unplayable.

Battlefield 4 has been out for a few days now, and everyone seems to be enjoying it. Except a big portion of PC gamers (including us here at BF4Central), who are seeing constant crashes and freezes. It’s tough to say this, but we have to be honest here: from personal experience, the game is utterly unplayable in its current state.
Battlefield 4 brokenAnd according to complaints on Twitter, Reddit, and the official EA forums, we aren’t the only ones. Widespread reports of random crashes and freezes are popping up everywhere, and it seems that some players can’t finish a single match without problems.
The crashes and instability seem to be happening on all sorts of hardware configurations, And when it does crash or freeze, players loose all progress, unlocks, and stats they accumulated during the match.
Even when the game works, it’s plagued by issues. Sound bugs are present on many maps (such as Lancang Dam), where the sound will cut out completely at times. Player movement and action is bogged down by massive rubber banding and lag, even on a good connection and on low ping servers. Worse, the hit box registration is still off (something DICE said was “fixed” after the beta).
So far DICE has only issued the generic “we are aware of the issue” reply. If only they were aware before the game shipped. It’s astounding that these sort of issues have plagued every single Battlefield game since BF2. And yet, we somehow expected a developer of DICE’s caliber to learn from their mistakes.
From personal experience, over half of Battlefield t multiplayer matches result it either a crash or a freeze. Most of the rest of the matches are unplayable due to the lag and rubber banding issue.
It hurts us to say this, but at this point, we wouldn’t recommend anyone getting Battlefield 4 on the PC. Wait until the first patch or two fix these issues. Or get the game on consoles, where it seems to be running great.

Seems to run very well on my 680, I am only gaming at 1920x1080 but I am getting 50-60fps with a low of 45. Even higher max fps but I have adaptive v-sync on. My [email protected] has helped a fair bit.

Using the latest Nvidia driver (331.65 WHQL). This gave me a 5ps increase and also removed the multicoloured flashing light artifacts I had with the previous driver (common issue).

I have everything on ultra apart from effects, lighting and mesh which is on high. Anti aliasing post is off as it seems to make everything less blurry and better clarity. Gives a large FPS increase too.

Seriously pretty impressed with how it runs, the beta did not run well at all and was very underwhelming personally.

What are these developers up to? I didn't have a single crash whilst in game in the beta.

Had a few, but generally it was smooth and performance was good and there was zero stutter/judder/lag/hitching/glitches.

Lancang Dam 62 players:

Frames, Time (ms), Min, Max, Avg
53744, 686904, 51, 140, 78.241

2500K @4.5 / 7970 @1200/1600
Ultra/4xMSAA Fov:85

No buggy stuff noticed so far.

Impressive fps.

Yeah, it's certainly cured my upgrade itch... For now. All these new cards and bargains are too bloody tempting.
Oh, that's 1080p btw.

ED: And 13.11 Beta 7.

It really does call that chart you posted into question. Do you have a link to the site that's from?

still nice for a 7970 with ultra, i bet you could turn one or two not needed things down and get that min always above 60 easy

whats the cpu load looking like since release? kinda same?

lol i didnt know you could dmg other tanks with it and felt stupid for that :)
wazza, i should think multiplay is way more cpu intensive, it usually is, that affects fps
