***THE BF4 BENCHMARKS THREAD***

funny how not many had much problems in beta now it release lots crashes >< think they should have done longer beta to try stuff :p
only problems i remember was punkbuster stuff

testing is a lot different i bet, these review sites rarely actually play the game, do they explain their testing on there anywhere?

We could have tested a multiplayer map by ourselves, but that would have likely been less demanding than single player.

We settled on the start of the fourth mission (titled "Singapore") which begins on the US vessel Valkyrie as the team walks to an inflatable rib where they have a brief discussion and then jump in before being lowered down. Although the test takes place in the Valkyrie's launch bay, the scene seems to use a lot of GPU and CPU power. There is heavy use of DoF (Depth of Field) here so perhaps that is what taxes the GPU.

yeh, its ok as a consistent gfx benchmark tho i guess, as long as its not got lots cutscenes, that makes them more pointless to me
but yeh totally pointless as a cpu load test for when playing the game for real

Well ive at least got single player working smoothly, no crashes yet. Never dropping below 60fps so far at 1440P Ultra x4AA 7950's @1125/1575. To stop the game hitching i had disable frame pacing though. I'm running vsync to remove the tearing.
