***THE BF4 BENCHMARKS THREAD***

Sweet Jesus the campaign mode is rubbish... Haha! Only doing it for unlocks etc but they clearly didn't really care about it because it's all about multiplayer.
 
well after playing for a few hours im not sure i need to bother upgrading,

for some reason fraps recorded min at 0(possibly when alt tabbed or something) but 80fps avg 149fps max. ultra settings 2xmsaa on 64 player server.
Good old 7950 power :D

Exactly what i've been thinking over the last 24 hours.. i can run maxed 1080p with 4xMSAA and 99% of the time it feels smooth and lag free. I even tried that Parcel Force map ;) that some said was pretty hard on the GPU and i was like.. huh? This is a nice map :)

Im probly gona grab one of those Corsair H80 referbs before i do crossfire 7950's.

My card runs all my games maxed out so im gona be wasting money upgrading.

Heres my Flood Zone bench from yesterday. I know its only 7 minutes long but gives me an idea at least. This is max 1080p 4xMSAA with overclock just at 1050/1500 (can go higher if i wish) and i'll probly just run 2xMSAA once the game bugs are ironed out.. and Mantle comes of course :D

27546, 410985, 45, 116, 67.024

Very happy 7950 owner here :p

Im sure on one of the missions i heard 'I dont wana die to this song'. Meaning the Tyler track lol
 
Its all good mate.

I completed Baku on hard and afterwards there were no mission stats in battlelog. Is that normal? I thought it saved all those after each level.

Yea i see a progress thing in Battlelog.. maybe server updates are delaying it.

Just installed Beta 8 drivers.. u watch Beta 9 come out in the next few hours lol

Doubt it, its a weekend. Beta 9 can't come soon enough for me. There is a bug with frame pacing at 1440p, causing massive cpu spikes and stuttering. Still not totally sure if its a game issue or driver issue. I think ive got more chance of a newer driver than dice attempting to fix their buggy game.

I played with two buddies on PS2 last night as they kept crashing when on BF4. One seems his CPU is overheating then shutting off, the other gets freezes and has to shut the game down.

Mine should be downloaded in under an hour and shall see what happens.. :eek:

Im curious about the 290 perf driver as u know its gona give some perf to the 290x.. and the 290x drivers have given us 7xxx series users some perf too.

Gona be interesting. Especially with Mantle on top of that :cool:
 
I've posted this in the CPU forum too but forgot about this thread. So in case this is helpful to anyone, here are my results. These are on campaign averaging 5 runs at each CPU core clock.

System is an AMD FX 8320 at 4.6, 4.8 and 5 GHz. GPU is a 7990 at 1100 MHz core and 1575 memory. This is on win7 ultimate 64 with core unpark enabled.

Have tried a few 64 player maps and results are similar but harder to control all conditions so there is variation. The game certainly uses all 8 cores well.





Here are some of the system monitoring readings on one 5 GHz run (CPU utilisation 70-80% max on some cores). I don't see significant bottlenecking at any of the above speeds. I am also not seeing 100% GPU utilisation (GPU 1 in early 90s and GPU 2 at 80-90%). Can't really explain the latter. Maybe if I test at 1440p things will change.

At some stage I will test my 3930k system and also do some multiplayer map benches.

I wish it was a bug that was affecting me, I just suck at BF games :D

Was doing ok till I went on Paracel Storm, think I got 3 kills to 20 odd deaths :o
