***THE BF4 BENCHMARKS THREAD***

Lol. Why does the building make it crash? I was in a shanghai game and as the building started coming down, other players looked stuck and started running on the spot and then it crashed to desktop. I went straight back into the server and the amount of players had dropped from 64 to about 40 so I am assuming almost half the people playing had the same crash.

maybe because at that point it puts extra load on the cpu for the physics???

Possibly, though I have read reports of people saying that whole servers were cleaned out when the building fell. Also, the lag/people running on the spot when it happened seemed odd. Seems like some sort of connection bug. Also, it never crashed when the building came down in the beta.

I probably will do Gollums Railway tomorrow.

For now here is Transmission @ 1080p with 3x7970's at 1200/1500. 3930k at 4.5GHZ.

Stock FOV in Ultra.

I bounce off the 200fps frame-rate limiter for a lot of the time, it will be interesting to see if mantle allows for a 200fps locked frame-rate.

Even more impressive was the frame-time, which remained around 6ms.

I would greatly appreciate it if you could please carry out the same benchmark and post the results for single and 2 Way 7970 Crossfire. I am currently thinking about crossfiring my 7970, would be great to compare max, min, average fps rates and also the frame latency.

So i just played some bf4 online for the first time ever and im ashamed to admit performance was fantastic and fps was around 60-100 for the most part at 1440 Ultra x4 AA. :o :o

Was it that bad Matt? Well I had a game before doing the DX update I crashed out about 3,500 score, done the DX update rebooted the PC went back into the game got a score around 4,600 then CRASH

I know there's a lot going on in these modern games but do we not spend most of our time waiting for software updates!!!! Gaming was never this bad was it?

I only played offline tbh mate before that and it was pretty buggy. I heard online actually ran better.

No mic yet mate, blew way too much cash lately on pc bits. Not playing that great myself at the mo. Been away from bf3 so long ive forgot how to play lol.

Run to the nearest corner and crouch. Keep a good eye on your radar and pop everyone that runs by. I hear this is the main strategy these days.

Few more rounds...

Max System RAM Usage: 5624MB

Max VRAM Usage: 2995MB (eek)

GPU Usage 99% 99% 97%

I know BF4 caches heavily but that VRAM is definitely not to be sniffed at...starting to wonder if I should just hold on to the Titans.
