***THE BF4 BENCHMARKS THREAD***

AMD Piledriver FX-8350, 4.8Ghz
NEC's 2560x1600 2x1600x1200 PLP 4960x1600
3xMSI HD 7950 OC BE @1065/1465 stock volts.

Are all cores running maxed out at that clock? I don't think you'd beat its performance without going for a six core Intel CPU. But when Mantle comes along I expect you'd remove any CPU bottleneck at all on the 8350.

I remember Bf3 realy needing HT being on to maintain high and steady GPU useage on Multi card setups.

Overall im happy with the performance on my setup with the Nvidia driver, if only the UI wasn't so god dam garish/big/consolefied. Core game play is still the same and good though

Just done a wholeish game on 64 man conquest.

Holy Guacamole - these numbers scare me!

Am I wasting my time even installing, bearing in mind I only have a 1GB 5870? CPU is fine (i7 4770k).

Maybe I should just...<looks around, nervously> ...get the PS4 version.
<Runs away and hides, but is still taken out by two 7970 snipers in Crossfire>

Eek, I'd dread to think. 5870 should be fine for medium settings fella. Don't forget most of the people pushing numbers in here are aiming for Ultra :D

@ Locky, nice! Barely dips below 60 :)

This is CPU load across AMD CPUs at stock clocks. It suggests that the 8350 will perform even better with an overclock (since one core seems maxed out), while the 6, 4 and 2 core CPUs are not coping.

Thanks for that really does show have more than 4 cores is going to be the norm soon. I wish Intel had cheaper 6 core CPUs, I don't really fancy going to AMD with an nVidia GTX 680 card... doesn't sit well with me lol

High to medium settings with no AA is fine. Just make sure you update your drivers. :)

Dont forget threads can offset the need for cores, sniff out a cheap 2nd hand 26/700k and you're laughing ;)
