***THE BF4 BENCHMARKS THREAD***

Ive been playing on and off all day, various servers and trying various settings. On quite a few servers today i found setting everything to lowest left a much straighter line. Cpu is currently running at stock, though even that shouldnt affect things to much id have thought?
 
My CPU is at 4.6ghz, so I would rule that out causing it, my moneys on something to do with the dlc or something causing havoc with the driver.

Any amd users wish to chime in?
 
Map in the ss above was pearl market, noticed Paul you didnt get staying on long that round. Lumpy garden played great for the few rounds that i was on it. The sunken boat map is very poor though. Too many bob lee swagger wannabe's.
 
I'd say it was the dlc too, not had this before.

The results are in and on the whole it seemed to be working fine. However the map you're all having problems on definitely seemed to have some issue as the cpu rendering line was the spikiest it's been for a long time. The green line is always flat on Mantle, even if there are network/server/game issues. What you'll find happen if anything is a cpu spike, rather than a gpu spike. They probably need to patch/tweak something in that map. On the whole though, it was smooth and playable. Not tried under DX, but i can if needed.

Finally a few from the map you all had problems with. I think this is one of Mantles biggest benefits. It doesn't need a driver update for new DLC, a new map, even a new game on a frostbite 3 engine. It just works out of the box because of all the work Johan did implementing it into Frostbite 3. :cool:

I just tried that map again, this time playing for longer than 5 minutes and it was pretty bad. Fps were dropping to 100-120 and the cpu line was showing loads of small spikes. Looks like a problem with certain areas of that map to me. The stutter was quite noticeable, certainly i could not play like that.
 
Let's see how your Titan SLI and Titan Black Tri SLI results compare to a couple of cheap 290P blowers boys. :D :p

Aside from one dirty spike at the start, i do belive in terms of frame variance/consistency this is as close to perfect as you can get without using vsync or an fps limit. #TheMantleEffect
