***THE BF4 BENCHMARKS THREAD***

Hello guys not tested yet but if you have frame drops and stutter. Some said fixed it by locking frame rate just above your fresh rate. so 62 or 122.

Going to test.

Ignore did nothing for me.

on rcon not procon (will be looking at procon once i'm out of rcon credits!). But will see if rcon has a plugin similar, if not I'll ask the admins to get something in the pipeline!!

Edit: NM realised that procon plugin is a freebie, will have a dabble later.

Deffo a map specific issue...

Without looking through the whole thread is anyone aware of how a 780 performs @ 2560x1440 @ lowish settings? Trying to get an idea of how the Asus SWIFT will run.

Remember you have gsync so you don't have to aim for astronomically high frames, I would say ultra with msaa and post turned down should see you somewhere in the 100fps range.

This is a game i play a lot, and tbh at the minute im thinking of getting shot of the 780 and going for a 290. Now thats drastic for me as ive never owned an amd card before.

Don't forget AMD cards come with lifetime LT technical support for free. :D :p

Nocky is a good man to ask on the pros and cons of the switch, i believe he did the same and moved from a 780 to a 290 for BF4 and Mantle.

I heard if you live close LT might even come around and pop it in for you :p

Outcalls cost extra, but sure. :p

I wil try and get up some single card gameplay footage setter, this will give you a worst case scenario of performance you can expect due to the perf hit from recording and encoding as i play.

One thing to remember setter, is the disaster piece known as dice. You could make the switch, they update something and now its broken...again. I don't think they've had a smooth dlc release for bf4 yet.

I can see the appeal of the switch if its your main game, I just don't trust dice to keep things moving along nicely on any system.

Pearl market on the new dlc runs like complete poo, as is, seems to take more of a toll on nvidia cards (did we see that map on amd DX?). Frame rates are good frame times are all over the place (see #8747) making the game feel choppy on that map and that map only.

Runs flawlessly for me..
Or at least it did the other day when i played many matches on that map. GPU usage is pretty even on that map as well.

Pearl market is an awesome map, definitely one of my favourites now. 64 player infantry mayhem! :D
