***THE BF4 BENCHMARKS THREAD***

So all other games are fine then? Its certainly a strange one, ive played a lot of bf4 on two different i7 builds now, both with sli, (670's and 780's). The only time i ran into a scenario where card usage dropped was when i had a 3570k for a while with the 670's. But card usage never hit as low as 20%.

I've not checked but I imagine so. Hard to tell though as it's frame hitching so you can't read the overlay. GPU usage on both cards frequently spikes down to 0-20%.

Surely one of the things the overlay excels in is showing the cause of hitching?

Unless you are talking about the MSI Afterburner overlay; which won't show much. But setter was refering the the perfoverlay in BF4.

Overlay shot below, this is from the pearl market map which was known to cause gpu spiking.

The above was with one 780, but the same thing happened with two. Havent played that map in a while so it could be ok now.

The yellow cpu line spiking was more common for me, very odd time though the green gpu line would shoot up quite high too. But yet on the CTE version of the game i had two virtually flat lines throughout an entire round.

I been having issues with BF4 lately and GPU and CPU spiking.. Only seems to happen with Crossfire enabled and on both Mantle and Dx11..

When running LatencyMon the issue point at DirectX kernel driver being the issue.

Have you/Can you try the affinity fix I posted above? Interested to see if it helps out in any other situation rather then recent SLI issues
