Well checking my perf overlay my cpu is around 16-19 and my gpu's are at about 23ish so cpu is consistently a lot lower. Yet im not getting full gpu usage.

Well I was gonna let the Hardcore/Softcore (Normal) thing die, but since nobody else did...

Hardcore doesn't mean you have to aim better than anyone else, hardcore means you have to hide better than everyone else to avoid spray-and-pray.
Which would also explain the hostility toward the Doritos triangle. How are you supposed to camp if everyone knows where you are? People might start shooting at you and then you'd have to try to shoot them first, which would involve aiming. Being hardcore nobody wants to have to do that when you can just camp and spray-and-pray as it might involve effort...

Not my experience, in hardcore you have to move and react a lot faster if you dont want to die. Campers are easy kills cos they dont regen health.

M320/rpg is a campers worst nightmare in hardcore. On normal mode you can take a M320/RPG in the face and walk away with 50% health or more.

all decent leagues pros play normal. end debate. hardcore was made for avg joe . that's why it was introduced in the first place to give every gamer a chance to get a kill.

Dont get me wrong dg i can play softcore just fine, tbh i even find it more enjoyable as i can relax when playing because of the extra health and spotting rather than having to be twitching all over the place looking for people.

That is part of the game. But I do prefer hardcore servers that have no minimap hud or anything so I am more towards the realism for me. I do play both normal and hardcore. Vehicles in hardcore are not so hard to kill either, being easily able to shot pilots in a chopper or two instead of whoring the skies,

I know what you mean, though. Hardcore makes a lot of sense in many respects.

I love when the 'realism' debate turns up in a computer game discussion. I've not been in the army, but I imagine the comparison between running around with a gun and a backpack and sitting infront of a screen with a keyboard and mouse should end any realism debate.

In real life do you get an orange triangle above the enemies head? No.
In real life is you enemy on a computer screen and you kill them by clicking on them with a mouse? Not for infantry at least. I would've thought compared to this massive difference an orange triangle is so minor it pales into insignificance.

The day when computer games get even close to realistic I'm gonna stop playing violent ones!

Of course, I may be wrong, maybe HC BF3 is what all the top military use to train their soldiers due to it's realism...
