In real life is you enemy on a computer screen and you kill them by clicking on them with a mouse? Not for infantry at least. I would've thought compared to this massive difference an orange triangle is so minor it pales into insignificance.

The day when computer games get even close to realistic I'm gonna stop playing violent ones!

Of course, I may be wrong, maybe HC BF3 is what all the top military use to train their soldiers due to it's realism...

That wasn't my point, neither are realistic....They're two different ways to play the same arcade game. What tosh that people seem to think because you can no longer automatically regen health and bullets are harder hitting it's somehow more realistic is what i was getting at.

You still have magic boxes with infinite ammo, you still have magic backpacks that seem to heal bullets....and magic paddles that bring back the dead. It's laughable to think people will use the realism argument, unless ofcourse your purpose was to get a response, then good job :D
 
Did they carry over the heli-godmode from bf3 or are trying to sucker people into playing a balanced bf4 beta to get some initial sales, then destroy it a couple of months after release...again?
 
Specs in sig. I seem to avg 60 on a mixture of high and ultra, 2xmsaa and low post aa, hbao. However i get weird drops for a second or two as low as single digits but it doesnt matter if im in an intense firefight or in the smallest darkest room so thinking bug more than my comp letting me down. 1080p and latest AMD betas.

Well of course neither are 'realistic'. But if you had to pick one which was more arcadey and one which was more realistic, which you would pick? That's my point. Its just a computer game but a lot of us prefer the slightly more realistic version of hardcore. Happy now?

Won't even load for me now, gets stuck on loading screen very weird. Have managed to get up to level 2 though :p.

The first BF3 beta was a bit fubar for me as well. The actual games was awesome though, looking forward to the full BF4 game.

Download pbsetup. Run, add Battlefield 4, click update. = Loading bug gone.
 
Can't get into any game tonight - loading screen hang now as reported just about everywhere, not changed a thing?

If you're referring to me (I didn't see what you wrote before it was removed) then I don't think I missed the point. I think referring to a computer game, especially one like this in terms of realism is silly and possibly even disrespectful to the men and women that have lost their lives in armed conflicts.

I've said before, I prefer Hardcore mode, at least in CoD, because of the 'features' of the mode, but I'm not going to claim it's realistic. I think in this context 'more realistic' is a pointless distinction. I mean I respawn after I die, that seems to move it so far away from realistic that comparisons are silly.
