***THE BF4 BENCHMARKS THREAD***

I cant even get on a server anymore. Worked ok yesterday now its just a long loading screen followed by a crash. Boo hoo

@ SkeeterUK: Try driver 331.40 Beta or 323.27 and don t deactivate cores with i5 it s only for FX6... CPUs.
You can only set low priority for bf 4 after starting it and if the drivers won t help, the only thing left would be to try windows 8.1. Sry these are the only advises we have here in our german forum.
Another thing you should take note of is, we have guys with GTX 690 GPU and they are suffering due lack of VRAM, if you surpass Full HD resolution 2 GB VRAM is not enough, their GTX 690 with highly oced Intel CPU won t help at all and their fps drop to 19.

I just tried to play it for 9 minutes, and the nose my PC was making was rather loud, so I'm not gonna bother playing it that much, and I won't be making the same mistake of buying the game then find out I can't play online, like I did with Arma 3 on steam.

Cant understand why some of u guys are having problems.. seems to just run a like BF3 to me but with higher CPU usage and a few degrees warmer GPU.

Only problem i got now is when i record with fraps the video comes out like a slideshow.

Max temps on CPU @ 4.5GHz with fraps recording is 69 69 68 69
Max temps on GPU @ 1100/1600 is 69c

i would kill for those temps. i'm running 80c on my i7

woo hoo, finally got round to play it :D:D:D:D. very impressed with the in-game performance as well as cooling of the system.

This is based on playing on ultra for 2 hours. (i dont know how to do framerate log as such). crashed once when i try to play and do this screenshot, but smooth all the time.

CPU usage floats between 80-90%. not sure how to see GPU usage.

According to this review Haswell i5 as Good as i7 in BF4, So much bs and parrot repetition on forums sometimes lol

http://www.hardwarepal.com/battlefield-4-cpu-gpu-benchmarks/#_

"The results at Ultra settings are as expected, the i7 4770k , i5 4670k and FX8350 provide more fps than the other lower range CPU’s but not by much. We were kind of suprised that the i5 4670k gave similar (if not better ) results than the i7 4770k "

I had feared that the performance issues I was having was down to my 4670k. Not the case however. I just bit the bullet and 'upgraded' to windows 8 and all my performance issues disappeared. My GPU usage is now at a constant with no lag or 'jumpiness' whatsoever. Whereas before the GPU usage went down as low as 70%.
Now the beta is smooth smooth smooth :)

I'm not saying definitively that Windows 7 was the problem as there are many people with Windows 7 who have got good results. I'm just saying that getting Windows 8 made everything better for me in terms of games. The drawback being, I now have Windows 8 :(

Vram wise, im seeing almost 1800mb usage. Would be less if i could get aero disabled on loading the game up. Settings on ultra, 4x msaa, post off, hbao on at 1920x1200. 64 player conquest server.
