***THE BF4 BENCHMARKS THREAD***

Not sure what to say tbh mate... It seems to be a bit hit and miss with a wide variety of setups.

Yeah - quite a few struggling, most seem to have the i5 2500k.

No biggy, clean install won't hurt anyway

Scotty how does it run on lower settings, the same? Is he on W7?

Tried that matey - everything low - same result

Guessing the reign of the 2500k is drawing to a close

Sorry, yep Win7 :(

Yea, tell him to try lower resolution to eliminate the chance of the issue being related to low VRAM.

I don't think that is the issue, in this case. 2gb seems to be fine, at least on this buggy beta for the highest possible settings @1080p. I think the issue more than likely lies with Windows 7, 2500k, and possibly driver issues.

Just been doing a spot of spectating, everything set at ultra, 4xMSAA, post AA high, 5900*1080. With aero off max recorded VRAM usage was 2951MB, FPS was generally in the 60's - obviously less demanding when your not running around yourself.

I gave Scotty a config to try. Its low settings but hopefully it will provide smooth fps. I suspect the issue is mainly tied to W7 and a 2500k.

I reckon it's because of his low VRAM. The only explanation, no such things happen with those using AMD GPUs (even those with 2GB VRAM!!! :D)

Yeah, i'd go with being on W7 and a native quad CPU :p
