The correct way to eat a custard slice?

Just had one at work, was really hungry when I had it however. All that was required was to faceplant it with my mouth open, then chew at whatever I had managed to get in my mouth. Repeat until box/plate/hand is empty. Any on face should be licked off, if you can't reach it with your tongue give it some time and some gentle shaking of your head and it'll slide down and you will be able to get it.

do this and post pics... I dare thee!

Skyfall, I don't suppose you work at my place or is it just a coincidence? I'm asking because I had a custard slice today for the first time in years. I just picked it up with my fingers then washed my hands afterwards.

At my old work where we had assorted cakes all of the time, the custard slices were always the first to go.

I used to have all manner of troubles eating custard slices, including most of the options in this thread. So in early 2004 I had my incisors sharpened to a razor edge, and now it's a cinch.

Since then I've never looked back.

Did you not opt in for the cassette player jaw replacement? It works particularly well for consuming whole custard slices in one go and has the bonus of being a cassette player.

I had a horribly disappointing Belgian bun instead...

I normally just bite in then eat the custard that is leaking from the sides.
