Heh i got a mental note of where all the sets ive come across are. As soon as i get training ill be picking up a few. ~Plus i prefer the renagade BoS armour with its red stripes, got a few of them lying around the waste.
 
With L4D round the corner and GTA4 coming up next month and as I need to finish FC2 I am gonna lay this to rest for a little while. Got lots of places to find still. But as I now know how it ends I'm not that fussed about when I find them. I think 59 hours in such a short space is very good, the most time I've dedicated to a game in the space of two weeks ever.
 
I just went to the trouble of doing a bit of the main quest to get power armour training but it seems the armour I currently have is the best armour in the game the ranger armour ?

I defused the bomb in megatron and didn't get any house what's going on there ?

The T-51b power armour has the most damage resistance in the game with 50DR, all other power armour has 40DR, except for tesla which is 43. Ranger battle armour is only 39DR (but it doesn't have any side effects, most power armor gives a STR and rad res bonus but negative agility).

As for the bomb, once defused talk to the sheriff if he is still alive, or if he has been killed, talk to his son.
 
Yea the guy who wanted to blow up megatron killed him in front of me when I grassed him up to the sheriff.

I'll stick with the ranger armour methinks now to find a ranger helmet.
 
There is no specific ranger helmet, but the combat helmet is the one that best suits the look of the ranger armour IMO. You can even wear eyewear with that helmet too (not that theres many types of eyewear currently ingame, but i think the biker googles + combat helm look cool).

There is a ranger helmet it looks like the combat helmet but with a strap round it. I got it from donovans body :D

I didn't die but it was great to go in sneaking, get the mutants that are far away with a sniper rifle, the ones that are a bit closer with Sydney's 10mm automatic (great gun) and if there were two that spotted me I used a shotgun to blast their heads off at close range :cool:
 
Does no one use frag mines and bottlecap mines? its my favourite tactic, also combine with fire extinguishers and gas bottles, can wipeout a room of mutants no probs.

No, I always think about using them but in the end I just shoot them but I will try them sometime.

Do you set the mines, get their attention and watch them trip the mines while they are moving towards you?

I'm slowly building up my explosives skill, my grenade throwing is a bit pants, hehe

Useful in the metro tunnels though
 
Depends on your sneak really, if its high you can sneak up close and actually put a nade or mine into their pockets, think only for humans though, otherwise just lay some around a corner, grab thier attention by shooting or getting seen then leg it, depneding on what you killing and how high your explosives is they should die instantly, had to use 3-4 bottlecap mines on a behemoth, which was doing just over 350 dmg each, this was at lvl 20.

The Ranger armour does, it gives +5 AP, +10 small arms, and +1 luck.
 
Just a heads up for other nvidia users:

I installed the 180-series drivers (180.43 from guru3d.com) and saw a substantial increase in framerate (around 15% ish over the 178 official drivers). But more importantly - I no longer get the ugly frame skipping when out in the wasteland! Well worth installing in my opinion.
