***** The Crysis 2 Thread *****

I get 40-50, you just need lots of graphics horsepower. DX11 ultra is at the highest end of PC gaming.

Tradiooo's post is laughable, there's nothing particularly good about his PC and he expects to get 60fps on Ultra. Ok, maybe a bit harsh, but it's not exactly the highest end possible. :p

hmm your fps is what i was expecting frankly as our machines are similar in power maybe its the difference between ati dx11 coding and nvidia?

Hm, what graphics card you got? I've got two remember, otherwise I'd probably have 25-30 fps.

If you have two as well then it's probably a driver issue, next lot should improve it.

seems reading up on other forums a high ram 8gb and 2 graphic cards are really need for dx11

lol. that couldnt be true ?

Honestly seems to be ok here on a single overclocked 480gtx. fps anywhere from 30-50 with a few dips.

I havent played it much though yet, just a quick nosey a the new shiny bits.

Seems to be bad for ATI cards.

ive got 2 5870s so really similar in gpu power maybe slightly more powerful I know a single 5870 is more powerful but sli is better than xfire.

Looks much better for sure & does not need a 64 bit OS either thats Crytek BS I installed it on 32 bit & got high res textures. Still the same terrible gameplay nothing can fix that & so boring its just about better looking than Crysis 1 but still very lacking apart from the Tessellation DX11 is not very noticeable..........

Getting 65 to 85fps with my SLI gtx 580 setup
with a few dips into the 50's

But only played for about 10minutes,may have more time to play it for longer sometime later today..

Hmmm it seems judging from comments here and on mycrysis.com, some people are running dx11 fine and some aren't. Could it be combination of driver issues coupled with vram usage ?

As some have showed that it is consuming around 1.5GB vram, then how are the 1GB cards such as 5870, 460 are still able to run it although at lower frame rates? Is the system ram also anotehr factor now for those with less than or around 1GB vram?

I think its more a case of Nvidia throwing money at a game so that it runs well on their card but **** on AMD cards so as usual AMD owners get totally screwed over.
**** YOU NVIDIA!

So what does that leave ATI with... NVIDIA better with OpenGL/Brink and Crysis/2, SLi better than CrossFire... so from what I've read the last few days.

AMD cards offer phenomenal pricing. My next card will be Nvidia though as I will have the money for one come my next upgrade.
Please don't devolve this into a fanboy fight between graphics companies.
