The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - MODS & TWEAKS

Can anyone remember the mod that implements more lanterns around Skyrim? I can't remember what it was called.

Any of these, there is quiet a few hits searching for Lanterns on Nexus..

Lanterns of Skyrim - All In One

Lanterns of Skyrim - Around Cities

Lanterns of Skyrim - Bridges

Lanterns on the Roads

Nice post fella :)

You've also reminded me about Imaginator which I used ages ago, and then got rid of. I use a heavily modified enb, but there are certain aspects I'm never 100% happy with that I can't resolve in the enbseries etc files. I think Imaginator may be a quick and easy tweak for some of them perhaps, going to give it a whirl...

Thank you, glad you like the post and hope that the Imaginator will be of help for you. :)

No probs, glad I could be of help. :)

Played a bit last evening and notice that the game was using like 5.3GB of RAM.. sure, I do have some HD graphics but should the RAM take such a hit ???

That seems quite hefty imo. Mine uses around 2GB give or take a bit more. Usually a max of around 3GB.

Off topic I know but did anyone side with the reklings at thirsk hall?
Do they really come help you when you're in combat?
Is it worth it?
There any advantage to helping the Nord's?

Bit late so you might already finished this but as far as I can tell, the reklings at Thrisk Hall is the only one that is friendly over there, all the rest will attack you. And I think, not sure, if you side with the reklings you can later have one of them as a follower if you wish. Personally I been avoiding Thrisk Hall so far over at Solstheim.. lol

Yeah I thought so to, will keep an eye on it and see if it happens again..

My understanding is that it will crash at 3.1gb....

That I wasn't aware of.. hmm might explain a couple CTD I been having then, maybe it just spiked just as I looked.. was a bit busy so wasn't really concentrating on the Afterburner information right then.. lol

Not sure at this at all now, yesterday when I started the game the Afterburner said I was already at 3,3GB RAM usage.. then it went higher, at max it was showing 5,7GB ... and I was just in Raven Rock and the Severin Manor during that time..

Thought I grabbed a couple screen shoots last evening of it but turns out it didn't stuck because I not set it up in Afterburner. :o Only had it through Steams screen shoot facility and it don't capture the stats.. lol

You talking about system RAM or vRAM?
the 32bit system ram app limitations of the skyrim/tesv exe itself. Which is a limitation of skyrim itself. Hence why enboost go out of their way to move a large portion of it to vram.

To swede, make sure you are looking at the apps system ram usage specifically I.e not the os etc
Typing on tablet in bath hope I relayed clearly :)

Ahh ok, might been the OS actually.. had task manager open this morning and the RAM was same on both... got to check Afterburner when I'm home from work and see if it has a function to show the app system RAM and not the OS...

Would anyone know of a mod or collection of mods that would be suited to starting a new game just for wandering around and exploring? Have everything you need after you exit the intro? Mounts, gear, etc. I'd like to do all the side quests from the start anywhere in the world.

Check the OP guide, most are just graphical enhancements and fixes up until 7-8. - You don't need all of them either.

I used to use this: Deadric Assassin Armour

The one is my screenshot above is part of this collection and is called: Crimson Archer Armour, looks amazing with an Imperal or Red Eagle cape.

Will be changing ENB's soon from T.A.Z to something else, might try a more vanilla style.

Thanks, I'll have a look into that one and see if I can get it working. :)

As ReaperGuy said, the OP has loads of mods to start with but not sure if there is a mod that let you have all gear, a mount and so on from the start though. There is on the other hand a bunch with mods that gives you an alternative start of Skyrim then the normal one, just search for "Alternative Start" over at Nexus site.

Then you could try using some other mods, they wont give you everything you need though but would give you a challenge if you not tired them out yet.

Just picked a few from the OP and with these you will have to be careful with your character so that you don't freeze to death or starve i.e. Frostfall. Since you said you would like to wander around and explore the Hunterborn mod would be suitable since you be hunting as you walk around and you need the food that would bring you, and from the pelts you can make your own armour.

Then if you add this mod as well, Gypsy Eyes Caravan, and once you have a 4000 spare gold you can walk to Markarth and buy it. You would then have your own "Home" to take with you where ever you walk, it has almost everything you need, apart from a proper Forge and Smelter, then again, those you not using all the time anyway. :)

Does anyone know what mods I should use for a first time playthrough of Morrowind? I know it's the Skyrim thread but can't find a dedicated Morrowind thread.

Cheers.

Not played Morrowind so can't be of much help but if you not checked out Nexus, go there and have a look if there might be something that can point you in the right direction. They also got a forum for the Morrowind game. =)
