The Evil Within 2 (Friday 13th October 2017!!!)

9 hours of play and only just finished chapter 3. This is the kind of value I like in a game - not padded out for the sake of it just lots to do and take your time with.

Best moment of the game so far for me was shortly after I received an explosive bolt for the crossbow - I could see a monster feasting on a body in a square shaped cul-de-sac, thinking I was being clever I set an explosive trap on what I thought was the only way out, I moved closer to draw the monsters attention but instead of it coming out past my trap, it burst through the boxes bypassing my trap and grabbed me!

1st negative comments from me way too many cut scenes & not very interactive moments from end of chapter 11 to start of chapter 12 went on about 45 min's in all until I could manually save again! Still an epic survival action horror title though.

considering its a story based survival horror i would play the first..

its brilliant with a pad and headphones.. but im only 3 hours in :D

And finished it. I would give it 8, great game, but I enjoyed the first a little more due to bigger variety in locations.

But still, great game, satisfying ending, fantastic song in credits.

Has anyone found a way to get into the otherside of the building, inside the trucking place ?, i got the shutter open, but can't seem to find a way through to the otherside, and theres some parts in there, so you must be able to somehow.

Im 10hrs in now, and still just exploring Union, just been exploring the train, and doing all the rogue signals. :p

I'll be 49 in November and my eyesight is not good so I'm not the best gamer, yet I finished it on the default difficulty (survival?) with zero deaths. The game should have been so much better but the AI and lack of enemies, ~4 in an area at a time, let it down. I got 30 hours out of my play through as I was constantly looking for collectables. Others are completing it in half the time or less.

I'd score The Evil Within 9/10 and this followup 6/10.

I'm actually almost the opposite in terms of scores, I enjoyed Evil Within 1 for the most part but it irked me like hell that I could barely run for 20 metres without becoming incapicitated. I found the running mechanic much more enjoyable in Evil Within 2. Ultimately , in the end, I liked the plot in EW1 more but enjoyed the gameplay of EW2 more, so I ended up rating EW1 as a 7 and EW2 as an 8.5

Yeah the ending song is Duran Duran, always liked that song.

If the cutscene after the credits is anything to go by, it looks like there will be an Evil Within 3, which is good

Hope so as 2 is pretty good but sales are very low they have not even confirmed if the season pass DLC is still being made now yet due to low sales so its not looking good.

I think the sales figures that I saw (which were reported as being very low) were only based on physical sales and didnt include digital sales, given that the majority of people buy digitally these days it actually could have decent sales figures

Was pretty good a solid 7-8 out of 10. Finished Friday evening.

Performance wise I had to run at 1080p to get a solid 60fps with no stutters on a Gtx 1080 which was disappointing given was playing on a 4k tv. Controls are a bit janky but you get used to it after a while but with that said a enjoyable experience.
