You on normal difficulty? I used the shot gun for him mostly and used the cross bow to set a few traps using shock and explosive bolts. Don't remember him being too difficult.I can't kill that Stefano ****![]()
Yeah I do remember wasting a bit of ammo on that part with his teleporting. I'm sure there is some ammo around the area you're fighting though if you run around...Yeah think im on normal, im on the 2nd part of him, hardly got any bullets or bolts left, ive shot him a good few times like, but the **** just won't die, mostly as soon as i pull trigger, he disappears, hes just popping all over the shop!i'll get the **** though, eventually

Maybe I was lucky put I never really paid them much heed, constantly moving throughout the battle and they only got me once - they don't take away all your health.Yeah ive seen the ammo kicking aboutI like to stay up behind the back wall at the right, keeping away from those tentacles
The first one was initially berated for the story/plot which kept you guessing, jumping around a bit which most people in the Western world don't like/aren't used to although this is a fairly standard format in Asian cinema. The DLCs for the first one in the end tied the story up. There were also a significant amount of people gave up after playing the first chapter which was completely different to rest of the game and was an odd inclusion. The limited ammunition and limited ability to manoeuvre/run were all deliberate gameplay mechanics which I personally thought were spot on - they game struck a great balance of making you think you are completely stuffed yet you never really are. The stealth mechanics were a bit unpredictable but that was also part of the fun as you'd have to react quickly if you were spotted at the last second. The first one is a bit more difficult then your average game nowadays, more like how the difficulty use to be 10 years ago I'd say. It's most comparable to Resident Evil 4 & 5 in terms of style/gameplay. It's an amazing game though and you should definitely play it to both experience the game in its own right and to get the back story for the second game. For me I don't think either game was better than the other - I enjoyed them both equally although the second was a bit easier.People here seem to be really loving this one, but I never got the impression the first was so universally well-regarded? Quite a few reports of frustration with limited ammunition, having to play through chunks of the game prior to tough battles, tricksy and unpredictable stealth mechanics, and so on.
Is the second a clear improvement on the first? As I've not played either, would just jumping into the second be best? Would I miss any important back-story?

Silent Hill Homecoming is well worth buying on Steam the poor reviews are mainly because some people did not have the ability to pass Dolby Digital sound as the game uses that to great effect creating atmospheric & creepy ambience with some deep bass! You really need a gamepad though its designed around that although kb + mouse is supported its hard work!Is the silent hill game on steam worth a play?
Sorry for the thread derail but I guess this is the best place to ask as everyone seems to like old school survival horror like me.
Steam reviews are crap but I think it might be worth a shot?
Like has been said already in this thread, so few of these games now its sad.
