Season 1 done and and Ep 1 of S2.

It has gotten better and i am now interested in the characters - i am finding the Martian pilot "donkey balls" annoying with his Clint Eastwood southern drawling all the time (why?! Sounds so out of place). Also Naomi Nagata, the actress playing her is so wooden. Amoss the meathead, where he started out as a one dimensional character is coming into his own now and shaping up to be a good character (he'll get killed now won't he?!)

The lore is he grew up/was born in the Mariner Valley on Mars, I believe it was settled by people from China, Texas and India. Apparently they kept their Texan drawl.

Yeah it was a bit odd at first, might be my imagination but it I think he tones it down a bit in the other seasons? Been a while since I watched them though.

Up to date now on the Expanse - yeah the spaceship is pretty cool!

Ep 9 of Counterpart, 1 more to go. Slow burner, but picked up a hell of a lot during the last few episodes.

Indeed. Glad I took your advice and gave this one a go. It is our favourite tv show at the moment, even better than billions for us and that is say something as that is damn good show.

I find this show is doing the opposite of most where things start of great and gradually get worse. Every season so far has been better than the previous for us. It just keeps getting better.

Syfy have cancelled Expanse once s3 ends. Hopefully Netflix picks it up as they have the rights for it everywhere but the US

Well that sucks. Especially as if it doesn't get picked up somewhere else we'll effectively end half-way through Abaddon's Gate.

Apparently Syfy only had the rights to the first run live airings. Which seems bonkers in this day and age. As you say, maybe Netflix

Not really surprising it has been cancelled really - poor availability outside the US, actually not that well advertised in general (though in isolation heavily advertised in some markets), etc. I dunno when they will learn.

Brooklyn nine nine has been picked up by NBC so there exists a chance. Hopefully Netflix or Amazon, this is the kind of thing that would suit those channels. Streamers and cord cutters tend to be more tech savvy and big Sci-fi fans too.

WTF... This is currently my favourite tv show. Really hope Netflix picks it up.

Sure season 1 was a bit slow and could have been better, but it started getting really good after that and I have been loving season 3.

Worst case I can at least buy the books I guess.

Why Syfy, why?! At least there's a chance it will be picked up by Netflix or a competitor. It deserves it, S3 has been fantastic so far.
