just got in...
not a liverpool or west ham fan.. but my word... what a game.. what a final.. that was monumental. i really cant give enough words to compliment how exciting and amazing that game was.
one word.. GERRARD.
steven gerrard is a true legend.... lampard is not as good as gerrard... gerrard is the man that should be leading the lines with england too.
gerrard is just everything you need in a big game... and that goal was .. for the technique and the meaning.. is probably the best goal ive ever seen.
only problem with gerrard is, he isnt from newcastle.
hats off the everyone in the game.. and everyone involved. truly amazing.

First I have to say well done West Ham, you did yourselves proud today even if there was a touch of luck about all 3 of your goals
3 (4) cracking goals scored by us today, though I dont think that we played all that well tbh so glad we won though.
Pepe's reputation as the penalty king of Spain was well lived up to today.
Over the moon we won but a bit gutted for West Ham, it would have been harsh on either team to lose but someone has to lose, just glad it wasn't us
Gerrard should be given the same freedom in the England team that he has in the Liverpool team

I thought this was an excellent game, and a great avert again for our FA Cup. Both sides gave it their all and in the end it was just down to the lottery of the penalties.
They say one man doesn't make a team, but Gerrard certainly played his part for the Pool.

What a fantastic game, easily the best FA Cup final I've seen since the 2 Merseyside Derbies in the 80's. I feel really sorry for West Ham, I felt they were the better team (just) and deserved to win, but like many things you don't always get what you deserve in football. Cracking advert for English football though, well done to both teams.

What a display from Gerrard. Two brilliantly taken goals. That second goal was perfect. Girlfriend was lying across my lap asleep. She was NOT impressed at the scream when that went in.
West Ham would have been slightly lucky to have won taking into account their goals. Carragher's own goal... Didn't Traore do something similar against Burnley and get slated for it? Carragher tried to backheel it away and cocked it up completely. A simple left footed whack into the crowd would have been suffice.
Still, very unfortunate to lose on penalties.

If someone was going to scored the equaliser, then it was Gerrard.
I am extremely proud of my beloved hammers, they have shown the UK and the World what a good side they now are. Overall it was a great advert for English football and hopefully how attacking we are.
