Well with a $220 million budget it that sounds like a genuine flop.
As opposed to some other movies people were getting excited about...
If a movie doesnt make a profit it's a flop, no matter how much you wish it wasn't true

To be expected really, an unlikeable main star, a dead end franchise that's being rebooted so the films have no tie in to future movies and it's the dcu who don't exactly have a track record of making blockbusters. Aquaman 2 will suffer the same fate.

The way this was marketed I thought it was a Batman film with a cameo from the Flash?

The DC ‘universe’ films have been clangers. With Spider-Man and Guardians 3 out recently, I couldn’t foresee anyone rushing to see this.
I think the whole ‘multi-film universe’ idea was a ‘one and done’ with the Avengers / MCU - ending with End Game. Things being set up for future films or tying into them is just tedious.
I’ve really enjoyed my stint of cinema viewings recently (3 films in a couple of weeks) and seeing The Flash this weekend was a hard pass.
I think the whole ‘multi-film universe’ idea was a ‘one and done’ with the Avengers / MCU - ending with End Game. Things being set up for future films or tying into them is just tedious.

The vast majority don't care (or even know) about that. A far bigger impact will be the fact that DC movies have generally flopped, especially since they announced they're giving up and starting again. Even Shazam 2 flopped and the first one was praised.
