In the last year FedEx have broken a parcel, lost one in the system for 3 days and lost one in customs for a week , Hermes have been better :(

TNT: Awaiting Collection
DPD: Awaiting Collection

Update 2:

UPS hot on their heels.

FedEx: Collected 9:50 AM
UPS: Collected 10:10 AM
TNT: Awaiting Collection
DPD: Awaiting Collection

Update 3:

FedEx sent a second van just in case! 12:15 PM

FedEx: Collected 9:50 AM
UPS: Collected 10:10 AM
TNT: Awaiting Collection
DPD: Awaiting Collection

I've gone for UPS. I've always had good results with them.

It's a shame Herpes don't do international stuff. It would end up on the moon.

Update 5:

DPD collected!

FedEx: Collected 9:50 AM
FedEx: Sent a second van just in case! 12:15 PM
UPS: Collected 10:10 AM
TNT: Awaiting Collection
DPD: Collected 13:07

DPD being absolutely useless will deliver sometime in 2023
FedEx and TNT will likely get the job done with the minimum of fuss
UPS could be first or last, depends which way the wind is blowing

Part of our business ships small value technically hazardous by air but super urgent parcels globally, the department has spent years collating a list of who is best for basically every country in the world, some have better supply chains in some areas, and others in other areas, then you get the "hand off" which some do in some places and not others, hand off being passed to another company as they don't cover the end destination well. That probably wouldn't happen with switzerland but it could if its super remote (often happens with ski resorts for example)

When I am back in the office next year i will see who they say is best for switzerland and see if it matches this thread :)

As above, DPD are terrible. We recently had a laptop go "missing" from the back of a DPD van and they delivered an empty box. Luckily it was encrypted, but as it potentially contained sensitive data the local depot has a **** storm coming their way. They can't just sweep it under the carpet this time.

We had something vaguely similar but not identical in the company I work for - nothing happened despite us pushing it daily with the depot.
If you get anything more I applaud you; they just kept brushing us off and no matter who we escalated to they wouldn't deal with it.

In the end we left them, and took great pleasure in telling our account manager the story - she was apologetic but acknowledged the depots are a law unto themselves with Head Office having very little influence or power over them.

Well they can't just brush it off because it was a government laptop they were supposed to be securely transporting under contract. If they arse around the MOD might decide to send military police round and turn the whole place upside down.
