Personally I think I'll go for a 32GB PAYG and move to simplicity after my first year is up.
Is it going to be incredibly hard to get one of these at launch? Or do you think stock levels will be good?
I've been considering the following because I'm not out of contract until March.
Buy one on PAYG, transfer my current SIM to the new phone, take the ZAGG off of my 3G as it's in mint condition under that, put it back in the box and sell it. I'll be left with a PAYG SIM with effectively a years free iPhone internet access on it which has got to be worth something.
The only problem with that is finding the cash to buy the PAYG device.
On the upside, I'll be well out of contract by the time the next iPhone is announced in a years time!

Feek,
The Zagg - I assume this is an InvisibleShield? I am considering getting one of these, is it easy to fit?
Edit: just seen the video from the Zag page, looks impressive, however some other reviews don't really rate it, how do you find it?
True is, no one knows.
Given they're launching in 22 countries next week they will probably have the same amount of supplies as last time. That is unless they've had the design finalised for a while and have used the last months to create a backlog.
I'd ring your local 02 store next week (day before launch) to see what the situation is like.
I like the HTC Magic, very good phone.
I bought direct from Zagg, it's very good. The back part was very difficult to put on but I took it off when I bought a proper case for it because it increased the size of the iPhone by just too much for my very snug fitting case.
Anyone considering the contract route? Be interested to understand your decision if you are?
Yup ive had mine for a month and having played with iphones both the 2G and 3G id say its definitely an iphone alternative. The touchscreen is as responsive as the iphone which is a good thing...plus you have the added benefit of a removeable battery.
Id love to get an iphone purely for media purposes but geez some of those prices are just stupidly high...O2 need to get their act in order and same with Apple...its stupid money to be tied into a 24mth contract at £70 just for the 32gb version
Anyone know if you will be able to buy the iPhone 3Gfrom the apple store (Online) when it comes to the 19th June?
