Well I popped into the local O2 shop and they had a 16gb one on PAYG, but they said they wouldn't sell it without the £10 topup, too which I advised them I would simply purchase it off Apple directly then, which I did in the end.

Purchased a CapsuleNeo for it, and a brodit holder, that I'll just heat up and stretch too fit the CapsuleNeo's extra girth.

Can't wait now, but won't set it up unitl later next week when I have a few days off

Now for the tomtom wait until I can sell my tytn ii!

I struggled to get it from O2 and CPW - managed to pick one up in an Apple store; the assistant seemed surprised when I asked if they had any in, like she thought "yes of course you idiot!"

Managed to order one friday before last on mobiles.co.uk, shipped friday and got it today. According to their site they have them in stock.

even having problems on my iPhone. So much for "it just works" mr. jobs :rolleyes:

Really quite annoying as I'm trying to buy apps, if I was an app developer (which I'm thinking about doing) I'd be livid at any lost sales.

Is it worth upgrading from a 8GB 3G to the 3Gs?

My employer currently pays my phone bill (direct debited from my account, paid back as expenses) so if I order a new contract (£35 p/month) and see if they have any refurbed 3Gs's (returned within 14 days and cleaned up by Apple) I would technically only be paying £35 a month for a phone... I could then give that sim and my 3G to my GF and take the new phone and add in my sim.

Does this make sense / seem like a good idea? If its worth upgrading that is.

It may be useful since it's twice as fast, and if I get the 16GB, twice the memory.

Really annoying that there is no sent sms counter....
