Not in white it would appear...

thanks mate , will look into this . im realy disappointed with moblies.co.uk their customer support just didnt seem to care, couldnt get me off the line quick enough when they had to talk to me ,different story on hold though
Theres a guy on here called ben_mobiles who I believe works for them and might be able to help...

got my 'foof' case after ordering it only 6 days ago! Good service from Australia that.

Well made and a very snug fit. Only drawback is that it is a bit too snug and takes a bit of getting the phone out of it...

It will get "looser" after a bit of usage.

I actually had a foof changed because the thread to the cotton lining came undone. I sent pictures and they said although it didn't affect the performance they'd honour the replacement.

Fantastic service considering they posted it from Aus for no extra charge :)

Mine is already significantly less snug after a week of use. I had a different foof for my original iphone, it had the satin lining rather than the fleece (which I think is used on most now). After a year it had become too loose, to the point where the phone would easily slip out. Hopefully the fleece lining will prevent this even after it loosens up a bit.

Thanks, ive not got outlook whats this windows contatcs program that can create a backup?

So all I woudl lose is my app settings and texts?

See what iTunes offers you as an option to sync contacts with in the dropdown box. On Vista I have 'Windows Contacts' as an option, which is built into the OS. Note that you don't *have* to do this - the setup instructions for Google Sync show how you do the initial 'backup' by pushing your contacts to the Google, ready for the re-sync. I just suggested the copying to an alternative program as an extra failsafe.

You would lose your texts, and yeah, app settings I guess, though for me that only extends to usernames and passwords for everything.

OMG, why haven't I bought an iPhone before.

My unlocked phone from Apple turned up this morning and it's bloomin' AWESOME :D

Can see that I'm gonna waste days over the next few weeks just absorbing everything its capable of. First purchase was Flight Control :D

same here. Damn that is one awesome game. So simple in concept but works brilliantly.

Loving the iphone as well, winmo cant compete on the interface.
Spent 3 years with winmo phones and even flashing roms umpteen time's, nothing comes close.

I used a WinMo phone for 6 months, I spent much of that time browsing forums, finding ways to customise it, update it, flash it etc etc etc. My God it is so nice to now just have a phone which works, out of the box, it just works!

Pretty much why I went for the iPhone - I just dont have the time. tendency or temper to wrestle a Mobile OS into a usable state. Perhaps Ill try Android eventually but not at the moment...

For me the main reasons I got an iPhone were:
  • Works out of the box to a standard I require
  • Internet Browsing is near to desktop as possible
  • New apps are easily found/installed/upgraded
  • Large amount of 3rd party peripherals that preference the iPhone/iPod (ICE for example)
Looking at that and my experience so far the phone has exceeded them. One thing I realised yesterday was that WinMo was so bad that I was actively not using my phone, I was avoiding calling/texting people when I didnt have to or using its other features. Im pretty mad at myself for sticking with WinMo for so long but the iPhone only became a candidate when OS3.0 came out - now Im going out of my way to use the phone because its just so nice to use, its not special it just works to a standard I want things to work at...

Theres a few things I dont like, but all those I was fully aware of before I considered getting the phone (perhaps thats more to do with Apples ethos) and its just got to the point where the good outweighs the bad (or moreso it now covers the basics I expect from a phone)

Ive given up on WinMo and will never consider it in the near future - its years behind in usability and looking at how MS are dealing with it I never expect it to be of a standard that makes me change my mind...

ps3ud0

^ Same as above. I'm absolutely loving my 3GS.

We got Blackberries about a month before the original iPhone came out and since then I've been juggling two crap phones (SE K850 and the blackberry (ok it was good for some things)), I'm now in a different world. And my shiny new MBP just arrived :D

Can the iPhone push Gmail to the phone and does it Sync Google Calender over the air?
Thinking of buying on off the bay. Going for about £500...But then I'd get approx £100 for my old N95 so not too bad...

ordered and received my Iphone 3G S from mobiles.co.uk last week all was well until my case arrived , i then removed the packaging cellophane from screen to reveal 2 marks like air bubbles under the screen .

i phoned mobiles.co.uk to enquirer about exchanging the the phone, after 20 min on hold i got through to a women who said she would give me the exchange details and did i have a pen and paper handy , i asked her could she please emails the details to me , she said yes and hung up but no details were emailed .

after 24 min on hold i got through again , the guy this time emailed me the details put me on hold and i got cut off, on reading the email its seems i have to post the phone back within 3 days or the rma number runs out , this is not possible for me to do due to work commitments so I'm phoning again to see see if a courier collection can be arranged , been on hold now for 52 (eventually hung up) minutes cant say I'm happy with MOBILES .CO.UK.

I'm in the exact same position!

Got my iPhone 3GS from CPW, kept the stock protection on it until my case arrived, then once I took the stock protection off, I noticed there were one or two air bubbles under the actual screen.

Would I have to deal with Apple to get a replacement, or could I walk into CPW and get it swapped? Don't really want to be without a phone!

Gmail push support isn't here yet, an app does it but it is still under review by Apple and not sure if it will get accepted.

I have synced a google calendar to it with football fixtures but not updated it so not sure if it pushes that either....

aye mate . im expected to be without my new phone and to also pay for that privilege:mad:

Wanted to pick up a 16GB 3GS today but it was nowhere to be seen... O2, CPW nor Apple! And looking at the Apple Retail Store Availability it doesn't look like I'll be getting it tomorrow either :(

OK, had the iPhone 3Gs since last week Saturday. Coming from a iPhone 3G myself, anyone think the battery does not last as long (dunno if its me of the new % icon next to battery icon that makes me think this). Also the 3Gs can get damn hot!! Other then that camera is better, like the focus and the video feature, and the faster loading in general.
