£175 / £44pm for 18months - 32GB on its way :P

Question :

does this all come out at once? e.g the one off payment of £175 and then after a month £44

or does £219 come out at once for a month in adv?

I have Gmail setup as Push, is there anyway of enabling images when going into my mailbox?
You sure you've got Gmail set up as Push? Unless it's via MobileMe or another third party notification service, I'd doubt that. The iPhone doesn't even support IMAP idle for some unknown and irritating reason.

But, to answer your question, try going into Settings, then Mail, Contacts, Calendars, then scroll down until you find the "load remote images" toggle - switch that on, and that might help.

Erm, maybe I'm thinking of something other than Push. I just saw "Push" when changing the setting for how often Mail should search for new emails.

All I know is I get my Gmail's through, I have it to search for emails every hour or so and they get sent to the email icon on the bottom of the iphone.

Ill try what you suggested

Fair enough. The settings are quite confusing, as it's easy to end up with Push appearing to be configured, but not being used. If it's checking hourly, then that's not technically push (push is where email notifications are sent to your phone like texts, where you don't even have to check and they'll arrive).

If you do find that you are getting push email with your Gmail, though, let me know, as it's my one main annoyance with my iPhone so far!

i think this is Fetch and not push

if you have push enabled and working with gmail, when you go into settings you should have a option called "Notifications" right under the "Carrier", in Notifications you can adjust some settings.

I have Fring working with Push and has added the "Notifications".

Download firmware 3.0, open itunes, connect phone, hold shift, click restore then it will ask you to choose the file you want to restore to.

I can't seem to find 3.0 as a seprate download , as itunes does auto updates

Oh and the tiger rebel case is poor! so im going to change that asap :)

so can anyone reccomend a new case?

What happens when you go on a flash based site with this phone? Does it work or is it a no go (I know it does not support flash) but intrigued to know what happens. :D

Now that there is some decent gps software out now (Copilot) im tempted to get this phone more now as I had a play in the O2 shop and it did feel like a nice piece of kit. ;)

You get a load of blue squares/question marks. Highly annoying seeing as more and more sites use flash!
