Also i have an ipod connection in my car which i run my ipod off , so also me getting the iphone i thought well kill 2 bird with 1 stone ipod and a phone BUT the iphone isnt compatable with the connection i have in my car :(:( so that put a downer even more on it

That's easily sorted with a £20 griffin power converter (or whatever it's called). They are widely available and convert Firewire power (old ipods and hence many old ipod docks/connectors) to USB power (newer ipods). We had to get one when my wife upgraded to a 4G iPod Nano.

is there any way of sending songs from my itunes library in emails or sms, seen people do it on tv shows but they dont explain how its done :(

Got my replacement iPhone from the Apple store the other day, however, I've noticed a wierd cast/hue on the right and left side. Left side seems more blue/cold, right side is redder/warmer. Anyone else have this? How good will they be about doing another swap?

I still can't believe I scratched the screen on my 3GS. It isn't even on the bit where you view anything, but it's about 1-2cm long and I can see it so obviously when in good light.

I hate myself for it :(

That would do my head in.

I just rang Apple about this vibration problem, got to book an appointment at the Apple store, over an hour away. Could be a waste of time if they don't fix it, don't want to send it away as I don't trust people with it!

Just a heads up but a well known card shop is doing a similar offer to what I posted a few months ago where its doing 2x£15 iTunes cards for £20...

Might help some for the TomTom purchases - though Im after the cradle aswell so I guess you cant buy that via the App Store :p

ps3ud0

Quite convenient that the app is £60 then! It as simple as buying 4x £15 cards for £40, then using them on your own account? Presume there's nothing to stop you using the cards for app store purchases, rather than music?

I have a bit of an annoying issue that I cannot seem to fathom out:

I have Google Calendar setup as CalDev and Google Contacts setup exchange server style.

I have access to my business IMAP email.

For some reason, some email addressess end up in my contact list on the iphone.

Now, although I use google calendar and google mail for contacts I don't actually use google mail at all. I have never sent or received one mail via google mail.

I am struggling to find where these addresses are being pulled from and how they're ending up in my contact list.

Any ideas?

Going to get a 32GB 3GS tomorrow.

Sort of annoyed that 3.0 on my 3G has more or less forced me into an upgrade (can't stand the lagging) but no real competition for alternatives I could have purchased. HTC Hero was considered but seems as though iPhone is the way to stay.

Guys I maybe swapping my faulty iPhone 3Gs out for a new one tomorrow, is there anyway I can backup what I have on my current iPhone and import to the new one? Contacts, messages, game saves all that stuff?
