Much to my amazement it worked - my iphone 3g is now working happily with my vodafone sim in it. I must admit i'm still slightly dubious about it: can't help but think there must be a catch somehow.
Is there any way of getting NetShare if you missed out?Impressed with the 3G speed; seeing ~1.3 Mb/s downstream on the phone or NetShare'd to the MacBook. 4-5 years ago I was really chuffed to get 512Kb/s ADSL in my house!
If it's something to do with traces being left around and it's not a known problem that others are having, have you tried creating a clean new Windows user account and installing it in there? Long shot.
£30 for the nonsensicaly white dock (that's no longer included) was a laugh. This is more like it, and "only" a tenner, too.

Has anyone actually thought of just getting one for continental Europe? Are there actually any disadvantages?

One thing I've just noticed; the bottom left speaker is way louder than the right.... Is it meant to be or is mine dodgy?

Fairly sure it's not a speaker, the other one's a microphone. If there's any sound coming out of it, it's leakage from the other one. iPhone has mono sound... Great!

Wheres mineI have bought loads - see beginning of thread - no disadvantages at all - work perfect! Activates with your sim card (activated mine with T-mobile). Jailbreaking is a big dodgy but possible as well!
Just a comment!because you walk around with your phone stuck to your nose listening to music, right ?![]()
