I got a credit check message and an e-mail. I'll probably not get a bloody phone though, and you two will! lol
 
Marvellous innit?! I've managed to get to the page where it is supposed to text me an upgrade code about twice, the rest of the time it times out after 5 minutes and leads me to a basic unencrypted html form (called "failover") where I am expected to enter my account number, personal details and credit card number. Fantastic effort all round by O2!

Every hour or so it lets me get to the proper page, probably when the poor IT staff member tasked to monitor the webpage resets IIS....
 
update still the same, just wondering if these orders are actually being accepted. Or should i just phone up and cancel ?

Talk about a bad website they've obviously not understood the demand,
i'm fed up of trying. Once the page said my order was complete, but my online bill is not showing the order. Fuming :mad:

I got a code but when entering my details afterwards they never asked for it.

I finally got this message:
Thank you for your order. We are processing this and will contact you if there are any complications with the details you have provided.
 
I am SO annoyed at the way O2 have handled this - what a complete and utter shambles from start to finish.
 
Update: According to a handful of tipsters, O2 sold out of the 16GB version of the iPhone in about three hours. Here's hoping you made the cut

edit: i think this is going to be another Wii pa lava!

supply and demand, release few units per week for the next 2 years.

these will be on peoples xmas lists i bet you!
 
'Early Upgrade' my backside. I would LOVE to see the breakdown of iPhone 3Gs that went on order to new customers as opposed to current customers like myself.

Here's hoping I'm misunderstanding them and they've reserved us all a new 3G...

They're having a laugh. Come back on the 10th just to be told they don't have stock and you've missed out no doubt. Planks!
