*** The iPhone 3G Thread ***

Gotta love the way it says we're outta stock... only on O2.

Yup, only O2 could have gone out of stock so quickly

Surely no-one actually expected for it to be easy? O2 have all current customers stuck in a contract anyway - so why would they need to service existing customers first? The longer they keep existing customers waiting the better for O2. Just business really.

Sounds like o2 has some brains and decided to start milking their cash cow.

Don't mention Pay'n'G release date till 5 days before launch, to hope people get frustrated and order an iPhone on contract.

Control stock so it's hard to get hold of, and hype the iPhone up even more. (wii).

JOKE

Where's my auth code dagnammit!

If it is all over, I hope to god it doesn't mess things up if I do decide to go to an Apple store on Friday.

Bah.

Better give me an upgrade if I walk into the shop on Friday, or someone's going to kick off.

God knows what I'll do when I end up having to send my now sold iPhone V1 off to the ebayer who bought it and I haven't got a new one, the upgrade process seems like it won't work!

According to my sources, only new customer's orders are being processed.. existing customers who've upgraded aren't processing!! (Multiple 02 customer service reps).

Take that as you will, but they also said they're not sold out.. so it seems they've just pulled the plug for now :o

EDIT: Check your hotmail PAC..

According to the sources on the 'net, only new customers were able to process orders.

Apparently, there was a problem with customers wishing to upgrade from V1 :(

i do feel we existing O2 customers have been right royally stiffed.

the only people who seem to have gotten anything positive from thsi morning shenanigans are new customers.

Always happens with mobile firms. New customers get the best deals over existing customers trying to upgrade. All they are bothered about is how many new customers they can sign up.

Yeap. At least we can upgrade though. My current contract is an 18 month, starting from Jan 08. They wouldn't let me upgrade for the first iPhone.

I think I'll be up at the crack of dawn on friday then...

8:02 it is...

This friday (11th July) or the one after? (19th July)?
