i've heard mixed things about this backlog, i think some people have just been unlucky :(

mine was all activated and ready to go before i even left the apple store :eek: - gutted for you lot who have the phones but can't use them properly yet :(

Mines is awfull, was fully charged when i went to bed and now it looks like about 20%?

Although i have only ever charged it using my MBP, might charge it from the mains soon.
 
What's the deal with mms? I've never understood it. I can send an email with a picture to anyone in the world. I dont need mms for that. Am i missing somethibg with the functioality? I've never used mms and never felt the need to. I wish it would die as it seems to me to be a throwback to when fast data speeds weren't yet a reality. Same deal with video calling. Waste of time.
 
I reckon a full charge lasts me 30hours. Although I am playing with it a lot as Im showing the phone to a lot of people.

I should have commission based on the amount of people who want one now :D

So how do you send a picture to someone, that you want them to see as soon as possible, when they don't have, or want, email on their phone or even a data tariff?

If everyone you know is a geek who checks their email all the time then great. If you have know a lot of people who'd rather burn their own eyes out than check email more than once a week then MMS is great.
 
right, phoned up o2 and told them the HASH of a job the apple store did (cant really blame them fully, they didnt have a full contingency for when the systems went down).

They thought it was weird I/they didnt give over the SIM number over the phone etc.

Got someone phoning me back within 5 hours of working hours...ARRGG what if i'm at work? my poxy building gets hardly any signal :(
 
managed a full day of constantly thrashing various data apps coupled with music/films to and from work and it still had about 20-25% charge by the time I got home again.

to be honest as long as it can last a full day of being abused then battery life is plenty fine for me.

I would advise them to stop living in the stone age.

Even my dad has email on his phone and he's 65 and an ex teacher.
 
Not sure how accurate that tracker is, when I arrived for store opening this morning at Brent Cross they had no 16gb Black's but the tracker said they did and still does.
