Got my 16gb Iphone today, must say its the smoothest phone UI I've ever seen. Very impressed.

Is there a way to get msn messenger on the iphone 3g?
 
stupid question, I got that Palringo program and logged in fine onto msn but how do I send messages? I click someone's name and it goes to a blank screen

Edit: nm i reloaded the program and it has a text box now

I've seen the 3G symbol appear once so far, for about 2minutes.. that's it. According to the o2 map everywhere round here has HSDPA coverage. I can only assume whatever device they used to build this map had a 40foot aerial on the top :)

It's a shame that such a great phone is nerfed by being on such a terrible network.

Hopefully they will pull their finger out a bit on the 3G front after they got their wrists slapped a few months back.

3G is useless on the way to work I find, this is going from the Harrow to Northold and Greenford area. Even with 3G displayed, web browsing is awfully slow :/ Luckily there are a lot of unsecured wifi connections littering these areas.
 
Just rang 02 customer services.

They've agreed to send a replacement 16GB iPhone when they get stock :o
 
So I took out the £35 contract yesterday at CPW, checked online today and it says my first bill will be £36.XX and is due around 10th August? I hardly had the phone for a day yet, do O2 charge you a month in advance?

Mine is similar mate.

Bought the Black 16gb yesterday.

First payment is taken August 10 - £31.50.

Then next payment is August 27 - Doesn't say an amount but I guess it will be the full wack £45.

Could I call O2 and get them to take the payment out on a certain date?

Also, I had about £20 worth of credit left on my O2 pay as you go sim before I ported my number to the iPhone, obviously now this is all gone on my old phone as it says 'sim inactive' as my iPhone now has that number, wonder if I could get them to credit me this...

Its from O2 though so I'm a bit puzzled about that. I would like to sign up to online billing so I'm not sure atm who I do it with lol.
 
AFAIK all mobile phone companies charge a month in advance. Also unless things have changed from when i was an O2 employee you can contact customer service (202) from the handset and set your own billing date once the first payment has been taken.

There's now no such thing as O2 at the Carphonewarehouse. O2 deals with everything directly now, so I assume when you upgraded you were moved over to this new system.
