Iphone 7 plus 128gb unlimited text &min 10gb data ee £190 upfront and £46 pm seems pretty good to me, tempted but I'm gona wait till the comparison vids are out vs the Note 7, for the camera largely.

Wow just found iphone 7 + 128gb black £299 upfront 5gb unlimited t&m £36 pm

Where are you getting that deal from? EEs cheapest 7+ 128gb contract is £60.99/month and £129.99 handset cost isn't it?

Ordered 32GB Black.

Got a quote for my current iPhone 6 16gb £230 with Music Magpie. Anyone used them? Do I need to send the charger aswell or just the phone? I've used 02 Recycling the past and had no issues and i've only ever just sent the handset not the charger.

Roll on next Friday.

are mobilephones direct any better these days ?

I can't remember what phone i got from them years ago. It was faulty and trying to get a replacement/money back was a nightmare.

Jet black is without a doubt the most popular. O2 - 6 week wait, Vodafone - 3 weeks will probably be up to 6 weeks by tomorrow.

Apple Edinburgh sold out so I cannot go through the upgrade option until more arrive in stock as it needs processed on an iPad on site.

Reading about all the scratches I might go matte black now and like stated above, great marketing. It feels like such a raw deal going for 32gb model that isn't even available in jet black. 128gb for a little extra, would be mad not to.

What I did last year on release day is they will have a stock reserve system that is live. So you book a 20 min slot to pick up one. Often full up if you go at the beginning of the day but if you keep refreshing the site it will show up stock.

I think Apple hold back stock deliberately. When I went to the store to pick up the guy was honest and said they had 1000s available in the back room but on the booking system online it feels like they have slithers.

Their buying system in store is poor generally. This was the downside picking up as you had to check in and then wait for another person to come and sell you the product. The store was empty when I went yet still took absolutely ages.

Yea I was told to basically check the site every day because new stock my show in stock. Frustrating that you cannot sign up to a reserve list if you want to sign up to the upgrade program.

Up until last year three were doing the one plan, unlimited everything for £15 a month, 4G, feel at home, 12GB tethering, it's now £21 but you get £3 discount by paying via DD, luckily I'm still paying £15 for it so I always buy my phones outright. I've had this same sim only deal for 5 years now and it can't be beaten.

I'm also on this contract. Can't fault it!

Went to Vegas and NYC and used the free international roaming like I was at home. Just an amazing benefit if you travel to their approved destinations.

Anyone checkout out virgins iphone7 deal, makes no sense to me. They claim 0% APR yet add a minimum of £138 to the price, either i'm missing something or they're blatantly lying.

Wow, didn't realise it's been almost 10 years. I still remember getting the first one at launch at 16 and being the first in my sixth form with it. No one had a clue what it even was, and now look...

And the first iPhone was actually crap by an objective measure. No 3G, no MMS, no copy/paste and no app store.

Non sequitur. Just because they've the longest lead times doesn't mean they're the most popular. We don't know what the relative production volumes of each variant are and, if Apple's hype about the production process are to be believed, the jet black models may be much harder/slower to manufacture and thus in far more limited numbers.

Oh gosh, I remember it took them years to get copy/paste sorted! Apparently it was a pretty big issues to work around security wise (at least that's what I seem to remember reading that was their reason for it taking so long)

I can only go by the hype in both the Apple store itself and the Vodafone store I was in for the gf to get her upgrade deal.

Sales rep said that all he has processed all day is Jet Black and matte back.

When I was in the Apple store all queries were regarding the Jet Black model. :X
