Yeah I've been comparing the load speeds of various games from scratch and compared to the iPhone7 the 6s is quicker - only fractionally but still....

Obviously when in game the 7 is smoother (slightly), but its that snappiness of loading that has been a little sour.

But if it's just a fractional difference and the trade-off is much improved battery life, who cares? :)

Well this is interesting. My photos have appeared so that's good and now I'm syncing my music.

The phone is connected to my Mac via an external powered USB hub. The screen is off and it's syncing now. It shows that it's charging but the actual battery charged percentage is going down! It's only a cheap and nasty USB hub but this has never happened before and I'm not going to interrupt it while it's synchronizing.

I noticed the same thing with mine when charging it using the USB3 port on my Dell USB-C docking station; the phone was also really hot. That same port and cable charged my 6 absolutely fine.

I put it down to the phone restoring photos, apps and music at the time, so similar situation to yours, but will be something I'll monitor over the next few days once things have settled.

It settled down to around 65-66% charged while it was syncing, now the sync has finished, the battery is going back up again. Like yours, mine was quite warm during the sync. I'm used to battery being poor for a few hours directly after an update (mine had just updated from 10.0 to 10.0.1) and it was doing quite a lot of work at the time.

All seems good now.

So the store was a bit of a nightmare this morning with the Barclays issues. Appointment was at 10:00-10:15.
I turned up at around 09:30 firstly to scout the store out before getting a coffee however there was a small queue outside with another inside, so spoke with a member of staff and queued up. About 2 hours later (-,-) i'm at the front of the inside queue as it's taking forever to process the iUP and the systems keep crashing.

Eventually sit down with a genius and have the same issues with the finance. Sat chatting with the store staff (who were excellent I might add) and they said that they will hold the iUP phones for a few days due to the issues or we could buy them with cash now and come back within 14 days to get a refund and to go onto the iUP once the issues are resolved.

Anyway, it was now 12:00 so decided screw this I need to get to work and paid cash with the mindset of coming back in a week to do the swap to iUP.

I'm actually now debating if to just stick with owning the phone, at least I will have some equity in the phone as Apple's trade in isn't too bad money wise (got £305 for the 6S 64GB but annoyingly they issued a gift card instead of cash in which I didn't apply it to the phone as I was planning on coming back with iUP!)

What puts me off the iUP now is this happening EVERY year. Much easier to get a brand new phone delivered!

Happy with the phone though, home button is nice but taking some getting used to. Feels a bit faster than my 6S but we will see how it goes!

I had an appointment at 8. Walked up at 8 15 and was away with my phone 10 mins later. Barely feels any different than my 6s. Screen has more of a yellow tinge and there are some slight stutters when shutting apps which wasn't present on my 6s.

That's me all set up now, just need to decide what I want to do with my home screen i.e Apps. :)

Done the update to 10.0.1 and everything seems to be running nice and smoothly, will be able to properly test it out tomorrow.

I have until December to decide what Apple Watch to get (away to Vegas).

Can anyone explain how reservations work. I am assuming at 6am there is new stock to reserve and you will be able to collect it later in the day?

Is this correct?

So what do people think about the new haptic home button? I think it feels a little bit strange but it's not something that bothers me at all. I'm sure that I'll get used to it very quickly.

Having come from an HTC 10 the haptic home button is fairly familiar although getting the pressure right is taking some getting used to :)

I like it though, will become second nature quickly.
