True re. IP protection, but all the app stores are loaded with cloned rubbish, Apple, Amazon, Microsoft and Android. Hardly any cloned apps are going to make their way up the charts to the point that I'd probably even see them.

Personally I don't download games with only a couple of reviews and a low number of downloads, I'd stick to well known stuff or trusted developers.

Say what you like about lack of openness but it does breed a much more orderly experience. Clearly it also stops me having chrome as my default browser which strikes me as insane and restrictive for all the wrong reasons but it also means I get a smooth and consistent app experience.

I didn't say I disagreed with ALL his points, but most especially with what he believes the minimums should be.

Yeah I want my iPhone to last for a week and be as good as a DSLR but that's not happening now. I was also talking in context to him saying this phone is the worst update ever and talking about how the first iPhone made everyone else innovate. The iPhone was the first of it's kind, of course it will make other manufacturers innovate. Right now? There's hardly anything the phone can't do.

And no. I do not want a "better" screen in terms of resolution like QHD. My 6 which isn't 1080p is fine in terms of pixel density. Cannot see the difference. Only thing I see with a "better" screen is more battery drain.

To add to my thoughts. I absolutely hope Apple never get rid of the bars at the top and bottom of the screen. Hate all android phones with little bezels as I always end up touching something on the screen. I also hope they never get rid of the home button. Hate the touch sensitive buttons and onscreen buttons on other phones.

Firstly I think you and the rest of the trolls need more perspective. You are all here fighting your hearts out for companies that don't give a **** about you, while said companies both work together and happy deposit their billions in their respective banks.

Also just cause someone trolls it doesn't make it okay for everyone to troll, that kind of think is why this thread is literally Samsung and Apple fanbois fighting over which phone is best when neither actually care and just want to get the other side angry. Yeah, my friend has the S7 Edge and was trying to load a video on YouTube to show me. Each time he passed me the phone the phone did something unpredictable because I kept touching the side of the screen.

I'm not angry at all, its more just trash in the thread that doesn't belong here. Also if your so angry at Samsung go take it too the Samsung thread and enjoy your trolling there, it could help combat all that anti apple stuff that surely keeps you up at night.

Dont mind being "walled in" I dont care for rooting roms etc anymore basically stopped doing that when I got rid of my Galaxy Nexus - though I may change my mind If I get one lol especially mass storage stuff and the whole itunes nonsense.

Hows the battery on the normal 7?

Wish Apple implemented a QC 2.0/3.0 like solution, think i'll miss it If I do make the switch.

I have a Nexus 6p and 6s so I can answer some questions.

Size wise the iPhone is great however I found it extremely difficult too use without a case, it just so slippery that any hand movement made me feel like it will fall. With my Nexus 5 (similar size) I was perfectly fine using it in 1 hand but the iPhone was harder due to the slippery nature. I use the Apple Leather case now and its fine.

Battery life is amazing for standby and decent for usage which overall means you should last a day, the iPhone 7 is even better so should be more then enough. My 6s will last me all day unless I game a lot that day.

Charging the iPhone with the 10w iPad charger will actually work, its close to a QC 2.0 device then. However it means you need a iPad charger, I've not tested it with a QC 2.0/3.0 charger before.

Yeah not sure why the Edge exists, I thought they'd do it as a concept but surprised people buy it, can't really see what it adds...

Have any benchmarks been released for the iPhone 7? I know Anandtech won't have a review for a while and they tend to be my most trusted source, most of the other reviews I've seen are pretty vague.

Don't get me wrong. the S7 Edge is an absolutely beautiful phone. But I just think it would annoy me. I'd rather deal with a tiny bit of bezel rather than get frustrated at accidentally touching the side of the screen

Battery, not brilliant tbh, the plus should be better (waiting video tests), see the results table at the end to compare to other phones

Lol at holding a phone wrong. I just don't like thin bezels. Not enough space to grab on to. Personal preference.

To be fair I have the S7 edge and get plenty of random touches on the edge

I also have an iPhone for work so enjoy both camps and feel reasonably unbiased for either side and I have to admit to being underwhelmed with the launch of the new 7. Incremental updates are to be expected but for me now it is wait to see what 2017 brings to the table.
