I was thinking earlier, big T said the other day that he feels augmented reality will be bigger than VR, so even if you can't utilise the full capability of the CPU with the current apps, surely if they can make the progress now and ship it today then that's something to be applauded. They're drastically reducing the speed at which your new phone will become obsolete. That way you won't be complaining when their AR iOS ecosystem comes out and you can't run it on your 2 year old device, or run iOS13 which uses the camera and intensive CPU cycles for facial recognition or something along those lines.

The only person getting angry is you - if you have a problem RTM.

Samsung deserve everything they get for the battery **** up.

Especially after they jumped on the bandwagon poking fun at Apple over "bendgate", which was a total non-issue.

Samsung have no class whatsoever. I remember reading an article about the ongoing litigation between Samsung and Apple which said it was basically Samsung's standard modus operandi. They wantonly infringe any patents they feel like, knowing it'll end up in litigation but they don't care. Even if they lose and have to pay out, they consider it worth it in order to get their products out there and gain market share. The pros outweight the cons and ethics or morals don't enter into it. Don't get me wrong, I have no love for Apple's business practices in a lot of cases but Samsung are in a different league.

Well said, look at Samsungs OS on their smart TVs all most a carbon copy of LGs which is by far the best smart platform available today

Everyone always focus's on the resolution of iPhone screens.

Best IPS screen does not equal best screen. Sadly Samsung OLEDS make the iPhone screens look a bit naff.

Also, supposedly the 7 is actually slower than the 6S in opening apps etc due to it using the slower cores of the fusion setup.

And the coil whine that many users are reporting sounds pretty ridiculous!

It's a disappointing year to be an iPhone owner.

*waits for linus doesn't know what he's talking about and is clearly an android fanboy response :D*

Apart from not - he is a massive fan of the iphone 6s

I'd imagine that the CPU development is separate to the development of the rest of the phone rather than instead of it. Given the focus on speed AND battery Apple should be applauded - the UI in the 7 is so fast and slick (even than my Pro) it's near perfect. It's just another example of Apple getting things right rather than blindly chasing tick list specs.

Overkill the CPU IS chasing specs?!?!?! ;)

Erm who IS Linus? I don't follow these YouTube types.

A chap with 3.072 million subs and one of the most successful tech dudes in the world - he doesn't just have his youtube show, he actually is incredibly knowledgeable as well.

Obviously didn't read properly, the comments there wasn't just compared to other IPS screens, but smartphone screens in general.

Yeah you need to read the whole article.

If Apple can match a 4K screen with a 750p LCD what can they do with an OLED or more recent screen technology next year - Samsung can't rely on pointless res increases to compete.

If this year is Apple being lazy in favour of the anniversary iPhone it's clearly going to be something special.

Samsung evidently threw everything at the Note and look where that's got them.

I haven't heard any coil whine on mine

As someone said few pages ago John Lewis seems to be good place for stock. I was in one earlier today and they had 8 128GB in gold/pink in the glass display I assume they had more in the back.

They won't have the jet black though, they're like gold dust (no pun intended) :D
