I just said it randomly appeared never mentioned the spillage ;)
In other news EE have despatched my Matt plus 128gb for delivery tomorrow so if I like that better ill keep that and get rid of the normal sized 7. Never had a plus size before so see if I can get used to it.

Once you get used to plus there no going back.
 
Got my 32GB plus in matt black reserved this morning, on the upgrade programme.

My thinking behind it after being initially reluctant is that I can use it without a case and not worry about scuffs and scratches as it'll be going back to Apple in a year! Otherwise I spend a year worrying about keeping it perfect cosmetically for resale :(

Condition of Financed iPhone when Exercising your Upgrade Option. As noted above, your Financed iPhone must be in good physical and operational condition when exercising your Upgrade Option as determined solely by Apple or Apple’s Trade-In Partner (“Trade-In Partner”). For a Financed iPhone to be considered in good physical and operational condition, the Financed iPhone must:
Power on and hold a charge;
Have an intact and functioning display;
Have no breaks or cracks; and
Have Activation Lock disabled (you may be asked to disable at the time of upgrade)

So nothing about scratches :)
 
Think I am going to get mines exchanged because of the hiss. I don't notice it (I have to put my ear on the apple logo area, can't hear it whilst on phone etc), but would rather do it now to get a new replacement than risk getting a refurb or something later.

Wonder if they will even have any stock to do an exchange

wont they (Apple) need to hear it before they can replace it?
 
The tracking number that Apple gave me wasn't working and didn't even look like a tracking number, so I called DHL today and they gave me the actual tracking number and said it will be delivered today, yay!

No, there is 14 day no quibble exchange/refund. I said I want to exchange under that, I am not going through tech/AppleCare. They straight away said it was fine to exchange, they are just tracking stock now.

Could end up in a situation whereby I have to wait to exchange!
 
So my phone has now restored properly and everything looks normal. It looks as though my glass screen protector hasn't stuck around the edges properly.

Has anyone else had this issue??

Finally gave in to the dark side and picked up a 128gb 7 Black last night via the Apple plan.

Coming from a 6 this thing is nippy as hell, camera definitely performs so much better in low light.

Spotted a few envious faces whilst playing with it on the tube in this morning :D
 
So they gave me two options. Exchange and hope the new one is okay, or it gets monitored. I went with exchange and they secured me another one for me at one of the stores nearby.

The "Monitor" option would be apparently joining a "small" number of others who have reported until Apple decide what to do. This could take ages etc. The guy I spoke to was quite good and said it is being tracked and is def hardware (which is obvious as its coil whine I guess).

So will go later to get a replacement. A bit annoying as I need to go get the box first!

good result mate, get the replacement, go back in few days and get on the monitored list :)
