In a major deviation from the games, it's been confirmed that infection now comes from tendrils, rather than spores.

I'm not sure if they mean the flowers/plants have tendrils and direct contact causes it, or that the clickers have them, but it was partly so the cast didn't have to wear masks with air filters all the time:

They also said spores don't really make sense, as they wouldn't be confined to small indoor area's, they would be everywhere and infect everyone.

Looking forward to this, haven't played the games so going in blind, trailer looks decent. Happy with the weekly schedule, nice to see more shows going back to this, exposes bad writing and means the rubbish can actually get cancelled when it should do.

The show will be "in the can" either way so I'm not sure why it would matter if it's a weekly release or all in one go.

Long term, I think I do remember shows better if I watch them weekly though.
